Heavyweight blockade preventing entry
To the exotic, color-blanketed world beyond
Insists home owners to become their own sentry
Amidst the aglow warmth of a kindled fire.Compacted frost-white mush, a strong, clumped heap against the oak-crafted door,
Cloaks the threshold's exterior in a shadowy, blinding darkness,
The persevering fireplace, the reliable bearer of solacement and a kind warmth,
Basks the sweet family within with a reassuring caress,
All the while illuminating the space provided by the abode's interior.Snow-battered cabin, sturdy pile of wood:
Sheltering the loyal, confined family within.
