"did you sleep well last night?" says Kartik coming into her office and closing the door. '
he has come to fish for compliments she knows it. She hung up the call.

"of course I sleep well every night" she replies.. 'every night yeah right'

"no I mean after..

"the printer room.. listen.." she says getting up from her desk. "that was um.. ok it was a one off"

"sure it was.." he says in a sarcastic tone.

"no I'm serious ok now we can't ever"

"sure until the next time you need to be satisfied."

"excuse me?"

what.. I just wonder does your brain even connect to your mouth?" She gave him an annoyed look.

"what do you mean?" he rolls his eyes "forget it"

"no if you have something to say then just say it"

"I want you to be a free spirit, not this pretence ok?, you should do what makes you feel good, live life the fullest, live in the moment, I want to see that version of you I know she is in there somewhere screaming to come out.. , adjusts his grip on her, "like what makes you want to wake up everyday? Hmm what makes you feel alive? think about it" he says letting go of her . She pants hard. 'He's right Naira what do you want!

Half the day is gone and since that morning they had not exchanged words.

"Kartik now we shouldn't pretend we should tell everyone we are into each other." Kartik looks up from his laptop "Tara you have your wires crossed, I'm not interested in you in that way"
