Part 35 Jealous Naira

Kartik came into her cabin, " Naira listen I need the.. he realised he was talking to himself, "where is she, he searches everywhere kitchen, bathroom but was no where to be seen.

"Nikki have you see  Naira?"

"She hasn't come in today"

" what?! He said , then his phone rang.

"Bua namaste" he said in a charming tone.

" beta how are you, your probably wondering where Naira is...

"Yes I am  is she ok?"

"She is completely fine, but I have kept her home I need her help"

"She has a ton of work pending"

" just give her today off Kartik ok, I need her help today you understand na beta with Salil and staff away I don't have any other help" he nodded.

"Hmm ok, fine just today I want her back tomorrow"

"Of course beta" she nodded.

"Tell her to call me once so I can discuss the taking leave policy with her"

"Ok I will explain to her" he ended the call.

Naira got so busy in cooking, she didn't even get a chance to dwell on anything, she made a few dishes, now she was making dessert.

"No Naira I said on low gas, look it completely ruined!"  Yelled her Saas

" I thought you said high gas sorry mummyji I.. "

" it would've been if you had just gone to the office”  the doorbell rang.

" some of them are already here, ok do one thing order the dessert from some hotel, but first come with me" they both went to attend her friends.

The doorbell rang

"Finally dessert aya" Savitri had been waiting for ages for the order she was starting to feel embarrassed in front of her friends. she answered the door.

"Bua I need Naira to proof read something urgently"

"Kartik she is busy I did ask you to give her the day off it's my kitty party day.."

"Yah sorry but work is work na bua"

"Yes i guess it's fine party is nearly over now come in beta" she resumed back to her card game, he watched all the ladies playing cards.

"Bua where is She?" As he couldn't see her insight.

"She is coming.. there she is finally" Kartik looked in her direction, she was in her usual sari a pink one this ti md and open hair, his favourite look of hers.

"Kartik tum iss waqt?"  She said startled to see him and the tray of drinks went crashing down.

"Oh god yeh ladki! Pata nai aaj kal dhyan kaha hai iska" said her saas. She was about to get up, when Kartik raced over.

"Nai mein manage karlungi" she refused his help.

"But.. she didn't let him complete his sentence.

Savitri saw Naira picking up the tray and looked annoyed. 'Silly girl she is so slow'

Savitri got up from her seat, feeling embarrassed.

"I don't know why you let your daughter in law work outside, now she can't handle house work Said one lady.

"Exactly useless she is" said another lady.

Kartik could see Naira was effected by the insults.. She picked up the tray and went from there. Kartik was getting irritated too.
