"Today is his birthday" she thought as she got up in the morning with fresh eyes and a fresh mind. She quickly got up and raced out of bed. Everyone was eating breakfast, Savitri and Salil.

"Good morning everyone" they both greeted her, she took a seat next to Salil, She took some berries and yogurt on her plate whilst mixing it she spoke.

"Is it Kartik's birthday today?" She asked casually taking a spoonful of her breakfast.

"Yes it is Naira but he doesn't celebrate it" said Salil.

"Oh, why not?" She asked hoping for answers. Salil was about to answer but Savitri stopped him.

"Forget all this Naira eat quickly or you will be late for work" Savitri ended the topic, but once she left Naira twisted Salil's ear.

" why doesn't maa want me to know?" She asked. Salil ignored her question. She jerked his hand.

"Naira please, just leave it!"

"Ok fine don't talk to me from now on" she took a sip of her water and got up to leave.

"Kartik is adopted" Naira turned to him.

" and Manish mama.. wait does he know that his real dad isn't..?"

"Thank you for telling me" they shared a mutual smile, then she left for work.

"Kya karu shall I buy a cake?" She thought as she took the lift up.

" no, no what if it makes him angry and he gets upset. She looked into his office. "But where is he?"

That's like a good boy, what do you want to drink?" They made small talk, then Pritam made him eat some cake.

" ok well Naira she can't be happy with Salil if she is sleeping with you"
