Calum
We all took our seats at the back of the classroom, taking out our notebooks and a pen. We were just starting work when the door clicked open.
'Everyone welcome our new student here at WaterBridge High, Luke Hemmings.'
I lifted my eyeline to see what the teacher was prattling on about, being met with what lloked like a flash of white. My pen clattered to the desk as my eyes widened. A shiver ran through my body as blood pulsed through my veins.
'Calum!' Ashton hissed from beside me, but there was little he could do. My back started to crack and shudder and a quiet whimper escaped my lips. Harry grabbed my arm and yanked me up out of my seat, towards the door. The teachers attempt to stop us was feeble and we were soon out of the class and in a cleaners cupboard.
'Calum, calm down for goodness sake. You know you can't change here.'
I growled at him, pulling my shirt off over my head and kicking my shoes away at random. I couldn't change here; I would never know how long it would be until I managed to become me again. I paced back and forth, thinking about anything and everything other than the blood-curdling boy who was stood in the classroom.
My hands were still shaking but my body hadn't changed yet, which was enough to reassure me that I wasn't going to.
I breathed in and out, allowing my shallow breathing to even out and pace itself back to a reasonable speed. To anyone else, I would look rediculous standing here butt-naked, but I knew Harry didn't mind as he too was a werewolf and understood that I really couldn't rip my clothes again.
'I..' I gulped, putting my arms behind my head. 'I think I'm fine.' I told him, running my hands over my face in frustration and distress.
'You sure? We can always sit out 'til next lesson if you need time.'
I shook my head; our bags were still in the classroom. I shakily picked up my clothes, putting them back on, before we left the cupboard and trudged down the hallway.
'Stay away from Luke, he isn't good for you.' I gave him a half hearted nod; even though he made me angry, he ingtrigued me. Why was he so moody?
It's safe to say that the teacher was angry, but we managed to scrape by on just a warning with the poor excuse of 'I felt sick'.
During the lesson I felt slightly uncomfortable as I was recieving more attention than I needed or wanted. Sympathetic looks from my pack mates wasn't hard to handle, it was the harsh glares being shot my way that made me squirm. Why Luke had the need to constantly look at me still made me grumpy.
I huffed but ignored him as best as I could. That was until the bell rang and he was out of the classroom quicker than humanly possible.
'What's his problem?' I muttered angrily, staring down the hallway long after he had gone.
'Was he a-'
'No! I told you, he couldn't be.' Ashton looked us in the eye confidently, making sure we wouldn't question it again.
But somehow, I knew he was wrong.
