Calum

As soon as I had found Ashton, he made it very clear that he wasn't happy with me. But luckily he let it slide, and I wouldn't have to confront him. At least not yet. Unlike a usual after school where I would go with the pack to the out house, I ran off on my own towards the enticing scent of the woods, making sure to stop by the out house to leave my clothing and bag. I knew I wasn't allowed, but today I went further into the woods than before. It wasn't our territory, and I had never dared to enter it before but today something was pulling me towards it. The pack would never follow me in here, it would cause trouble with what ever inhuman thing lived here. It was dark in this part, and it would be impossible for me to see if I were to change back into a human, but my mind was pressuring me to go further and to take a risk. I could smell something vaguely familiar, but I wasn't sure what it was; my brain refused to link up the dots of where I had smelt it before.

My paws continued to crunch through the leaves littered on the floor, and my nose was twitching every few seconds to guide me through the darkness. I couldn't shake off the gut wrenching feeling that I was in danger, but despite my strong instinct to turn around, I didn't. I didn't want to go back because I was curious; because I recognised this part of the woods and I wanted to know why. I halted all of a sudden, my four feet shuffling uncomfortably. I finally knew what this was, it was vampire territory. But even through the strong scent, I could smell out him - I was sure it was him. And not because I liked him (which, I didn't) but because I sensed he was in trouble, did my speed pick up again. Something that beautiful didn't diserve to be endangered. Did I really just call him beautiful? I thought, but pushed it aside in attempt to concentrate on the thump thump of my feet against the cold ground.

The ground around me was growing messier, muddier, different to what I was used to, and I started to become nervous.

Being a wolf at this time of day was abnormal to my system, and I knew I had limited time to find Luke, make sure he was okay, and get out of the darkness back to familiar grounds.

It was cold and my fur was on end, my throat occasionally making small whimpers and my eyes having to squint against the lack of light. I was craving safety; the safety of hunting, the safety of what I call home.

My hind legs suddenly stopped moving and I skidded forward, managing to stop just in time as I looked upon what I had been wishing for. The pale skinned, blonde haired boy was on the floor, his head turned in my direction and his eyes taunting. I wasn't expecting to have stumbled on this scene though, after all I had had little proof that he really was what I thought. His lanky body was slumped against the trunk of a thick tree, his orbs burning red and his fangs looking deadlier than a werewolf's jaw.

I was too scared, too terrified, to function, and so my back snapped and cracked as I let out an inhuman shreak, the last thing I was seeing was Luke moving towards me as I stumbled back on two surprisingly human feet. And then I could see nothing but the real darkness of the woods.
