chapter four

-THAT NIGHT-
Toby
Me, Caleb, Ezra and Alison are on our way to the spot that Caleb's GPS found. When we arrive there we start to look around, I see a door in the middle of the nowhere and I start yelling "I found something!" The others run to me and we try to open the door, it's locked but we hear voices from inside "Help! help! Can anybody hear us?!" We quickly unlocked it and Aria Hanna and Emily ran out of that place. Where is Spencer? Is she- Is she dead? I look at Hanna and Caleb, at Ezra and Aria and at Emily and Alison. I wanted Spencer back. Now. "Where the hell is Spencer?!" I yell. Hanna looks at me and says "Hurry, she can't get up, she's still down there" as she says those words I run inside, there are a lot of hallways "Spencer! Spencer! Answer me please! Spence!" I scream "Toby! Toby!" I hear someone screaming. I would've recognised that voice from a million miles away. That was Spencer. I run as fast as I can and then I see her. She was on the ground trying to get up. I run to her and I hug her as strong as I could and then I feel it. I feel the bump onto my abs. I can tell that the baby is kicking. I smile and put my hands on her belly. I laugh and so does she, "Is it- Is it our baby?" I ask "Yes, yes it is and he/she couldn't wait to feel your arm for the first time, it never kicked so strong." she says laughing, I put my arms on her cheek and kiss her, she kisses back. It was the longest kiss we've ever shared and we didn't want to stop, but we had to when we heard the ambulance. Some doctors came in and carried Spencer into the ambulance and I drove behind her with my car. When I get to the hospital I run inside and I ask to a doctor "Um.. sorry do you know where Spencer Hastings is?" he pointed a room and I ran into it. She was sleeping, I sat next to her, I put one hand on her bump and squeezed her hand with the other one, she was so skinny, so fragile, but still so beautiful. She woke up about ten minutes later. "Toby.." she said I turned around to face her. "Spence..." she started crying, I wiped her tears with my thumb and said "It's okay Spence, you're safe now.." she hugged me and I hugged her back. "Hey Tobes..." she said. God I missed her calling me Tobes. "Yes?" "Tomorrow I've got my first ultrasound, we will know the gender of the baby, would you- would you come with me?" She asks I smile. The hugest smile I've ever done. "Yes, yes of course". She smiles back
-THE NEXT DAY-
Spencer
I was literally freaking out. That was my first ultrasound and I was nervous. My belly was too big, I couldn't even get up without get tired. I looked at my body. My legs and my arms were full of scars and bruises. My arms were also full of cuts. I did them to myself when I was down there. One day I woke up and A put a razor on my night table. A knew that it has been a problem for me in the past and knew that I was gonna fall in that bad habit all over again, especially in a situation like that. I kept looking at my arms, I hated the way that they looked. I hated the fact that I did them, and I hated myself, I hated that in that moment I felt the need to cut myself, and I couldn't help it. Suddenly someone enters in my room, I put my arms under the sheets and pretend like nothing happened. It was Aria at the door. She looks at me, I look at her and then I look at the ground. "Hey Aria, how are you?" I ask trying to understand if she has seen my arms or not "Spencer what the hell?" she says. She saw them. "Let me see you arms" she state. I just stare at her "There's nothing to see" I say. "Spencer did you cut yourself?" She asks "Yes" I answer, my voice is shaking. She grabs my arm and pull it out of the blanket. She gasps as she sees it. "Spencer-" I cut her off "Aria, you can't tell anybody, not Hanna, not Emily, and especially not Toby" "Spencer, why do you do this to yourself?" she asks "Because, I can't tell you, please Aria just promise me okay?" "Okay but you need to stop this, In one week I'm going to check up on you to see if there are other cuts okay?" I nod and she leaves. After about 20 minutes Toby walks in "Hey sunshine!" he says. I smile "Hey" I was nervous because in 10 minutes we would've find out the gender of our baby. Toby lays next to me and we cuddle for a while until a nurse come in and says "Ms Hastings, your appointment with Dr Adams is now, if you want to follow me" I get up with a little help from Toby and we both walk to Dr Adams' room, we walk inside. "Hello Spencer, I'm doctor Adams, I will take care of you for the rest of your pregnancy" He says "Okay" I answer. "Perfect, you can lie here, I'm going to put this gel on your stomach and then we will see if the baby's fine, and we will find out the gender" he state and I and Toby nod. He puts the gel on my belly, he is doing the ultrasound when we hear him gasp. "What?" I ask worried "Is the baby okay?" "Yes, yes, they're okay" They? There were two of them? "What do you mean with 'They'?" Toby asks as worried as me "Are we having two babies?" I ask "This is something really rare..." The doctor says "What is it?" I ask irritated "Are we having two kids or no?" "No, actually you are having four of them, in your stomach there are two couples twins, three girls and one boy"
