Spencer just left, I just found out that my daughter was sick and I was just standing there like a dumb. "Who the hell was that?" Yvonne asks "That was Spencer, an ex of mine" I say, Yvonne looked hurt "And what did she want?" She asks a little angry and jealous "Yvonne you need to hear me out, I'm going to tell you something okay? And you could be mad at me after I told you this" I say. Yvonne was a part of my life and she needed to know, we sit down on the couch and she puts Margot, our daughter in the bed, so we could be alone. "Toby, what is it? Did you cheat on me?" she asks "No! Nothing like that happened!" I say she sighs in relief "Then what is it? Since we got here you're acting strange, that girl is acting strange too." she says "Well, me and Spencer used to date when we were in high school, then one night she spent the night at my place and.." I stop "I don't need that kind of details thanks" she says. I nod and keep talking "The day after she got kidnapped and someone brought her into a basement, god knows what they did to her." I stop again starting to feel tears form in my eyes "Hey Toby, everything is fine, come on, talk to me" Yvonne says. I smile and take a deep breath "Well 7 months later, she came back, I saved her from that hell and than we got to the hospital, she was pregnant and when we went to the doctor he told us that we were having two couple of twins and that was really rare" Yvonne looks at me shocked but I try not to make eye contact and continue the story "Two days later she gave birth to 4 children, three girls and one boy, I went to her room and then when she fell asleep I ran away, I wasn't ready to be a father" I say and I start to sob "So you just left her alone with four babies?" she ask distant "Yes" I say "How could you? How am I suppose to trust you now? I mean you have four children and you never bothered to tell me or at least call her to know how they were, or how she was, how am I suppose to know that you're not gonna do the same thing with me and Margot?" she asks disgusted, I sigh and say "I won't, but I promise you that I'm never gonna see Spencer again if that's what you want" "You need to go to her and try to make up with her and your other children, I mean I fell guilty, you are with me when you have another family that you never even bothered to know." she says. She was right "It's better if you just go, stay away from me and Margot for some time, I need to think" she says. My jaws dropped "But, I mean I want to see Margot too, she is my daughter!" I say, she looks down and whispers "Not really" "What do you mean 'Not really'?!" I ask "Toby, she's not your daughter, I cheated on you and then that guy got me pregnant" I look at her shocked "Take this ring back and don't come here never anymore" she hands me the ring, in silence I pack a few things and leave the house. Okay I was really confused right now.
Spencer
I broke in tears when I get in the car, just thinking about Liv and her disease make me feel sad and with no hope, hope a dirty four letter word. I drive back home, I have 3 hours before I have to pick up the kids from school. I have 3 hours I can dedicate to myself. Until I hear a knock on the door. I get up scoffing and open it, I see Toby, I'm a bit surprised but I let him in since the kids are not here. "Spence please let me talk" I stay silent, "Okay, hear me out, I know I haven't been for you or for the kids for the past four years and I know that you probably hate me but I just wanna have the chance to know them." I nod. I understood him, I mean I know he isn't a bad guy I dated him for like 5 years, I brought his children in my stomach. "I'm really sorry for Olivia, I know I shouldn't have climbed on the wall to reach the window, I won't do anything that stupid anymore. I haven't even got an house right now" What? What about Yvonne? "What about Yvonne?" I ask confused "She left me, the kid wasn't even mine. She cheated on me and she had a child making me believe that she was mine," I couldn't believe it, how could she do something like that? "I'm sorry" I whisper. "Not your fault." he says, and for the first time after four long years our eyes meet, I look into them, they are still blue as the ocean and crystals like the sky. "If this is what you really want, then I could introduce you to the kids" I say, meaning the words that were coming out of my mouth, he smiles hard "Really?" he says happily "Yes" I say smiling a little. "Well, when can I see them?" he asks inpatient "Um.. If you want you can join us to dinner tonight or tomorrow" I say, feeling a bit awkward "Tonight sounds good" he says smiling "See you tonight then" I say leading him to door and closing it as he gets out of the house. Maybe Toby really had changed, maybe he really wanted to know the kids, but what if he didn't? What if he just walks away again? This time will hurt the babies too though. No, I wouldn't let that happen.
I pick the kids up and drive them to home. "You guys I need to tell you something" I start as they are all looking at me sitting on the couch "What?" Daniel asks "Well, tonight someone is joining us for dinner" I say "Who is it?" Megan asks "It's a guy called Toby that happens to be your..." I take a deep breath "Who happens to be your father" I state. They all look at me with a 'Seriously?' look, but I can't tell if they're happy or not then Liv says "Does he know that the front door is not the window?" sarcastically, this child was barely 4 and still had a best sense of humour than me, I smile a bit and say taking one of her hands in mine "He won't scare you again Liv, okay? I promise" I say and she nods. "I'm super okay with that!" Daniel says "Me too" Meg and Hazel say at the same time "What about you Liv?" I ask, she gets up and goes to her room, I took that as a NO.
