chapter five

Spencer
I was having a panic attack. I had 4 children in my stomach. Not one. Four. Toby saw me breathing heavily and asked me "Spence, hey are you okay?" I nod. The doctor was still looking at the monitor and said "I think that you're gonna give birth to this babies really soon, I mean you should wait other 2 months if it was a normal pregnancy, but it isn't so you're gonna deliver this children in 2 or 3 days." "What?!" I yell "It's better for everyone if you stay here, with us while this two days okay?" The doctor says "Okay" I answer. I go back to my room and Toby walks with me. "Hey Spence, are you sure you're okay?" He asks. A tear runs down my cheek and I quickly wipe it "Toby, it was already hard thinking about 1 child, but 4 of them... I can't I'm not strong enough" "Yes, you are, you are the bravest person I've ever met" "That's not true" I sigh "Hey Spence, don't think like that, we are having 3 flawless girls and one beautiful boy, we need to focus. Let's pick the names, have you taught about it?" Toby asks "No, I didn't" I answer "Well, it's time to do it, what name do you like?" he asks "I always taught that if I had a girl I would've called her Olivia" I say, "Olivia. I love it, what about Daniel for the baby?" he asks "It's great, and I like Megan and Hazel too for the girls" I state. We talk a little bit more about the babies' names and then we finally decide: the first girl will be Olivia Susan Cavanaugh. The second one will be Megan Claire Cavanaugh. The third one will be Hazel Lauren Cavanaugh and the boy will be Daniel Thomas Cavanaugh. I already loved each one of them.
- 2 DAYS LATER-
It was around noon when I hear a knock on the door. Hanna, Emily and Aria walk in. I smile. "Hey Spence!" They all say. "Hey" I say back. "Soooo, what is the gender?!" Hanna asks "What?" I ask "The baby. Is it a boy or a girl?" She asks again "Both" I state "WHAT?!" Aria screams "Are you having two babies, twins?" Emily asks. I take a deep breath and then say "No, actually are two couple of twins, I've got 4 babies in here" I say putting my hand on my belly, Their jaws dropped off. "Oh my god" Hanna says "Well I still wanna know their gender" Emily states "There are three girls and one boy" I say and they all aww. We talk for a while until I feel that my pants are getting wet. I freeze. Was I going to give birth to the children?! Oh my god. I turn into pale. Aria notices it and asks me "Spencer... are you okay?" I shake my head and pull away the sheets they all see the wet bed and the wet pants. "Spence..." Emily says "Oh my god, I can't you guys, I can't do it, I'm not-" I begin to say but Aria cuts me off "Spencer, calm down okay? Breathe and Emily is going to call a nurse" and she squeezes my hand, and squeeze her back more tightly, when I start feeling contractions. I wasn't ready. Where the hell was Toby?! "Guys, call Toby, please" I say Hanna calls him and says "He's on his way" I sigh. I wanted him now. I needed him next to me right now. I feel another contraction and some tears of pain start to fall down from my eyes. A nurse get into the room. She was going to take me to the delivery room, but I wouldn't have gone anywhere without Toby. Aria let go of my and but I take it back and say "I'm not going anywhere without Toby." "Spencer... you have to, your babies are on their way to born" she says and I cry in pain, then the nurse leads me to the delivery room. She lies me on a metal stretcher, and then she opens my legs. "There are four babies in here, this is going to be a long labor" I started to feel so much pain that I didn't care about anything anymore so I just yell "GET THEM OUT" I breath heavily until I feel someone taking my hand. I turn around and it's Toby. I sigh in relief and then the worst painful experience in my life starts.
-4 HOURS LATER-
I finally get out of the delivery room, they didn't let me take the babies in my arms but I heard them crying so they were all okay, I have never been more tired, I didn't even feel the pain anymore, I just wanted to sleep. The brought me back to my room and they turned the lights off, they knew that I needed to sleep but I wanted to see Toby first. After about 10 minutes Toby enters in the room quietly. He sees my eyes open but not too much. "Hey gorgeous" He says "Hey" I say with a raspy voice since I've been screaming for the past 4 hours "Are you not sleeping?" He asks whispering "No, I wanted to see you first" I say breathing heavily, I couldn't even speak for how tired I was. Toby starts to stroke my cheek sweetly, I smile, he puts my hair behind my ears. "I will stay here with you all the time" he says and smiles, I smile back and then I fall asleep. I didn't know that but It would've been the last time I would've see Toby Cavanaugh for a long time.
