Astrid POV:
This is my second day in Aneska's hut after the birth of Freya. I admit it, the birthing may be hard, but in the end it was so worth it for my bundle of joy.
Freya now has her eyes open, and she is awake with Hiccup.
"Hey babe? Do you mind if I go to my Chief meeting real quick? I don't have to go," Hiccup protests. "No babe! You need to go! It's your chief meeting! Just can you please bring me food on your way back?" I ask. "Yes m'lady," he says and kisses me. He pulls away, touches my face, and kisses Freya's cheek. He waves goodbye and was out the door.
1 HOUR LATER:
"It's ok baby," I say as Aneska showed me how to change Freya's under-doos. I got her all cleaned up, and put her back to sleep. "You are going to be a great mom Astrid." Aneska smiles. "Thank you!" I blush. She walks out of the room.
"Now what?" I think. Suddenly, the door burst open, revealing my parents.
"Astrid!" My mother yells. "I can't believe you kept that thing after you gave birth! It will probably be as useless and stupid as hiccup!" My father screams. I began to cry and shout. "This is my daughter! And your grandchild whether you like it or not!" I yell. They looked at me shocked because I was crying. "Pull yourself together girl! For Thor's hammer you are a Hofferson! You don't cry!" My mother scolds. "Get out!" Aneska yells coming into the room. "Excuse me?" My father says. "No one is allowed to be in this room without Hiccup or Astrid's consent! Leave!" Aneska hollers. "And if we don't?" My mother scoffs. "My 2 lovely bodyguards will be happy to escort you out," Hiccup says appearing at the door with Eret and Snotlout.
My parents looked at me, scoffed and left the room.
"Make sure they go home!" Hiccup tells Eret and Snotlout. He walks over to me, and sees my distress. "Hey, it's ok." He says rubbing my arm. "No it's not." I say. "What is so wrong with you that they don't like me? Why am i such a disappointment to them?!" I cry. "Hey! You are less than disappointing! You are strong, fearless, kind, and I love you. And if they can't see how amazing and beautiful there daughter is because of me, then they don't need to be in your life!" Hiccup soothes. I nod.
