3 Days had passed since the girls had parted ways with Bobby, their lives hadn't changed. Maybe their mind set but nothing on the outside. Charlotte found herself checking over her shoulder anytime she walked outside and decided that signing back up for boxing classes wasn't a terrible idea. She had done it before but stopped after a while due to lack of motivation. Now she found herself at the small beat up gym every morning to learn how to fight. The slim chance that any of this was even true had the girls constantly on their toes. Maddie couldn't take her head out of any book that was about lore to even take a breath. She practically maxed out her library card and knew that the older woman that owned the place now gave her odd side eyes when she came in. She couldn't help it though. The need to know more gnawed at her. At this point she knew so much useless monster facts that she could write her own book about it. Though they both decided to ignore the others new found hobby and continue with their lives.

"Hey you ready, to leave?" Maddie called from the kitchen as Charlotte slide her work t-shirt on. It was plain black, tight and short. Their large green logo that said, 'Smokey's Bar' went across her chest. A pair of short jean shorts clung to her while dirty black tennis shoes covered her feet. There were worse uniforms she thought as she tossed her hair in a ponytail. This uniform was meant to make men and women tip more so she grinned and bared it.

"Yeah one second," She called back as she grabbed her purse and checked that she had all of her necessities.

Walking into the kitchen she gave Maddie a slightly jealous look. Her uniform was much easier. A random work t-shirt that was obviously a size or two too big and a pair of leggings covered her. Seeing as she worked in the kitchen she didn't have to worry much about her appearance. Their boss had tried to get the other girl to bartend with Charlotte at the front but found out that the girl hated it.

Charlotte remembered the day that her boss had tried to train her friend as a waitress, it then followed by Maddie dumping a whole tray of food on the floor and then continuing to fall in it. It was the first and last time she waited a table.

"Ready," She said while grabbing her keys off the hook. Throwing a kiss over her shoulder at Jackie, the girls shouted I love you's at their pets and locked up the apartment. They made the quick five-minute drive to work and pulled into the already crowded parking lot. Being one of the only bar and grills in town, it constantly had a stream of customers. Walking in through the back-kitchen entrance they greeted the other cooks and waitresses there.

Nodding to each other the two girls went their separate ways and started their shifts. It was just around 5 and the dinner crowd would be rolling in soon. Walking around the bar Charlotte smiled at the regulars who shouted a hello in her direction. Grabbing a rag, she stuck it in the belt of pants and put her favorite bottle opener in her pocket. Their shift flew by as usual with drinks being made and hot food being bustled out of the kitchen.

As if clockwork, the door opened and in came Daren who went to his usual seat which looked right into the kitchen window. If you squinted you might catch a glimpse of the red head running around but that was about it. Charlotte rolled her eyes as she looked at him.

"Hey Sugar, wanna get me a refill," One of the old regulars said while leering over the counter at the blonde bringing her attention back to her job. Putting on her fakest smile she picked his glass up only for him to place his own hand over hers. "and maybe have you on the side?"

"Sorry Hun, I aint on the menu," with a flip of her pony tail she was off to fill up his beer, leaving him with his friends who were laughing loudly at his failed attempt at seducing the bartender. Without sparing him to much of a glance she placed it down and bustled off to the other end of the bar.
