this is royal au btw!

Neither Sunghee nor her family believed that now they were a part of the royalty. If anyone told them that Sunghee would become an Empress of South Korea one day, she would have laughed at them until she loses her voice and called them crazy. But now that it really happened, she was in disbelief. It was a dream she'd always had since she was a child.

"Your Highness, is that gown okay? It's not too loose or too tight, is it?" the royal designer asked Sunghee out of a sudden, breaking her thoughts.

"It's too perfect for someone like me, Ara," Sunghee replied as she was feeling embarrassed. She looked in the mirror, gazing at the rich white satin dress she was wearing. The dress was laced around her torso, cinched at the waist, leaving the bottom part flowed down her legs gracefully.

"What's with the long face, Your Highness? It's your wedding day! You don't have to be worried about the gown, it looks beautiful on you," Ara replied.

"Ahh.. I shall call Miss Jiho to apply the makeup for you. If you'd please excuse me for a while," Ara said as she curtsied before walking out her bedroom door.

What if suddenly he cancel the wedding? What if I look dumb? What if I messed up? What ifㅡ

"Excuse me, Your Highness. May I come in?" a girl who she remembered as Jiho peeked her head inside, staring at her.

"Yes yes, of course," she nodded, trying to erase the thoughts from her mind. Once inside, Jiho curtsied.

"Forgive me, Your Highness, for coming in a bit late. The Princess called me to help fixing her make up earlier," Jiho was about to kneel but Sunghee stopped her.

"It's fine, and please don't kneel, okay? That's an order," Sunghee stated.

She felt awkward whenever they treated her like she was a fragile doll, as she was still learning about the royal ettiquettes with the help of Miss Dayeon, her guider. Sunghee relaxed herself as Jiho started powdering her face. Her head started to get heavy and her eyes drooped as she felt herself dozing off.

"Your Highness," Sunghee awoke with a start when she heard her name being called. She opened her eyes and was met with another pair who belonged to Miss Dayeon.

"Sorry for disturbing you, Your Highness, but the wedding ceremony will be starting soon." Her drowsiness faded as soon as she heard Miss Dayeon's words.

"Oh my god. What am I supposed to do? I'm scared, Miss Dayeon," Sunghee panicked.

I mean, who wouldn't? Imagine getting married with the Emperor of South Korea. The wedding would be broadcasted live around the world. What if she messed up? It would be a shame to the Royal Family, her family and also to herself.

"You're going to be okay, Your Highness. I believe you will not mess it up," Miss Dayeon said, reassuring her. Sunghee sighed shakily and stood up, following the woman to the wedding hall.

Soon, Sunghee was standing in front of a big double door with her soon-to-be husband by her side.

"You look gorgeous, Sweetheart," Hoseok praised, sending her a wink as he extended his palm towards her.

"You don't look too bad yourself," Sunghee whispered and grinned, placing her palm on his as they intertwined their fingers.

"You will be okay. Don't worry too much, My Lovely Empress," Hoseok whispered softly, sensing her nervousness. He kissed her knuckle and gave her a small smile.

"Announcing, the Emperor and the Empress of South Korea!" a guard shouted and the door slowly opened. Sunghee walked down the isle along side Hoseok, hearing compliments thrown her way about her beauty and the whispers of the jealous girls wishing to have a partner in their life.

Once they arrived at the altar, they made their vows and kissed eachother as husband and wife.

As both of them walked to their thrones, Sunghee saw a crane, decorated with beautiful white roses. She grinned as she looked at her husband who was already gazing at her.

"I prepared it as a surprise for you. Do you like it?" Hoseok raised his eyebrow.

"I love it, Hoseok. Thank you so much."

He chuckled, his eyes glinting. "I hope you will do the honour to be on it, My Empress," he said as he kissed the inside of her wrist.

"Of course!" Sunghee exclaimed, nodding fast.

She walked towards where the crane was and stood on it. She smiled at her husband who was walking towards his seat with his bodyguard trailing behind.

Sunghee felt the crane vibrating as it flew upwards. She waved at the people who was cheering for her and she felt her face glowed with happiness. The view from above was beautiful. The sun was setting, the sky was coloured with orange and yellow hue, mixed with a little bit of pinkish purple.

But her happiness was cut short when she felt the crane quaked harshly, sending her flying to the floor. She shrieked loudly as it started to break, the materials fell off and tumbled to the ground, making the crane flipped upside-down. Before Sunghee could fall, she grabbed onto the leftover part of the crane tightly, afraid of falling from the height that would consider her death.

The crowd from below gasped in surprise, yelling and screaming for someone to help the poor gal hanging on in the air for dear life. The wedding ceremony was a chaos.

"Oh my god. Someone save my daughter!" she heard her father exclaimed and saw him running towards her, but was restricted by the royal guards.

She scanned the crowd, looking for The Emporer. Once her eyes found her husband, she swore she saw a little smirk on his face as he was escorted away by his guards. She closed her eyes, tears trickling down her cheeks as reality sank into her. Her husband was the one who started the incident.

"Your Highness!" she opened her eyes at the voice, seeing a pair belonged to Miss Dayeon.

Her brows furrowed in confusion. Her eyes wandered her surrounding, seeing herself in her bedroom, sitting on a chair in front of the mirror. She looked in it, her face was caked with make up... for the wedding.

It was a dream..

"Oh my god, Your Highness. I was so near in calling the doctor. Are you feeling okay? You look pale," Miss Dayeon said.

"I-I'm fine," she answered slowly.

"Alright, Your Highness. It's getting late now. Let's go," Miss Dayeon quickly asked Sunghee to follow her outside.

Sunghee glanced at her dress and she realised that the dream she had was so realistic. When she arrived at the double door, she was praised by the Emperor, again.

"You look georgeous, Sweetheart," he winked as he extended his palm.

The same compliment.

"T-Thank you, Your Majesty," Sunghee replied, feeling scared. She gulped loudly, feeling a lump stuck in her throat.

"Are you okay, Honey?" Hoseok asked as he gazed at her paling lover.

"I'm perfectly f-fine," she replied, whimpering a little.

This couldn't be true.

Everything became a blur for Sunghee as the door opened. She heard whispers from the guests and quickly turned her attention towards the crane. She tried to escape the Emperor's hold but he tightened it.

At that moment, her face turned so pale she thought she would die as she tried to gain her breathing. She knew she was fucked up real bad.
