The first few seconds of my day were perfect. The sun was up and the birds outside my window were calling to eachother. Then I remembered yesterday, and my good mood vanishied as quickly as it had come. I made sure to spend an extra long time lying awake in bed, because I knew that I would make myself go to the Tough Girls Club, even though I really didn't want to.
Eventually I lazily made my way downstairs to get brekfast, then I made my way upstairs to change, and then outside to grab my bike and go. When I got Alana's eyes were shooting daggers at me and everyone else looked delighted to see me, like I was an old friend they hadn't seen in years.
"Hello. How nice to see your bright shining faces!" I cooed.
"Hi," Alana said in a crotchety tone of voice.
"Okay, so let's get this day started," Arine said, to avoid a fight," So, the first thing I have to ask you, Jamie, is: What's your biggest regret?
I thought about it for a moment, trying to think of regrets that would be less embarrassing than the one I had in mind. But, finally, I decided there was no use avoiding it.
"One day, in school, I saw a girl being picked on really badly by another girl. This girl wasn't neccessarily bigger our stronger, but in our school she definitely had lots of power. Unfortunately, I didn't help this girl. I just walked on by, afraid I would be picked on too. So that's my biggest regret. What should I do about it? Just look up the girl's address and apoligize?
"No," said Alana with an evil grin,"You are going straight to the root."

After some help from Mapquest and a very cramped ten minute ride in Kelsey's car, we had finally arrived at her house. Let's just say that I was worried this would turn into my biggest regret. But, the girls saluted me from inside the car, and finally I worked up the courage to crack my knuckles and open the door.
The girl who answered was tall and had blonde hair, which she had obviously gotten died from her usual platinum blonde hair. She was wearing a Pink sweater and denim shorts. And she didn't look happy to see me.
"What do you want, Jamie?" she said. Well, she knew my name. It's was a start, I guess. Even though it was a pretty crappy one.
I froze. Like a deer in the headlights, I stammered, speechless. Then I though of all the times that innocent girl had been picked on. And I realized if it didn't stop, the world might lose this girl forever. And that wasn't okay.
"Listen. You know that girl you pick on nonstop? I need you to stop."
She just laughed. "And why should I ?"
" Because if you keep going then I'll keep going. I'll stand up for her every time, as well as every other person you bully. I will always be there, protecting them, making sure you get the least thrill. I will tell every adult possible, tell the world if need be. And because I know you'll regret it later."
" Fine. But you make me a deal. You will be my shoulder to cry on when my parents are fighting. Deal?"
"Deal."
I walked away from there feeling prouder than I ever have in my life.
