Chapter 5

New home

We slowly made our way from the castle. Looking at the strange man in the front, I ask "Where we going?"

"Your new home."

My new home, how does he know I lost my old one. My mind was racing, so many different feelings, I was scared, I was confused, overall I could tell something wasn't right. Looking down at my hands, I saw the small handkerchief that Elliot gave me.

I started thinking about what happened that night. The way I felt, when I touched Elliot's hand. It felt right, like he was meant for me. I was starting to think about Elliot , when the horrible image of William flashed into my brain. He was a monster, what he did, it was unforgivable.

I slowly started drifting off to sleep, but then horrible crashing sound startled me. the carriage was rocking back and forth, maybe a strong wind. But this wasn't like the wind, unless the wind has big powerful hands. I started hearing scream from outside. It was the castle guards.

"Get down!" The stranger yelled. I was too late, an arrow hit my shoulder. I blacked out.

I don't know how long I was unconscious, but I think I was hallucinating, someone was stroking my hair. l couldn't make out the face. I also could hear my name in the distance, it was so sweet, but yet almost bitter.

Then I saw something else, guards were storming people's homes, they were destroying everything in their path, William was with them, he was searching for me. The image started to fade, But then I saw something else, it was Elliott, he was in chains.

        Slowly Elliot's image faded too.

Opening my eyes, I saw I wasn't in the carriage. l was in a different place. It was strange, like nothing you've ever seen before. I was in some sort of small house, the cottage you could say. But there were no walls, you could see the different rooms. There was also no roof. I could see it was raining, but I wasn't getting wet. It was like l was in some sort of invisible hospital. I saw the stranger to my left, he was stroking my hair and a young woman trying to feed me some soup like substance.

Looking at me, the young woman said "Welcome, we have been waiting."
