chapter 39

DEMI'S P.O.V

The Wedding march began to play. My father at my side, ready to walk me down the ale to Harry. Giving me away to a jerk and shipping me off to live with him...It was a nightmare.

I looked around hoping to see his sparkling green eyes in the audience but he was nowhere to be found. Holding in my tears, i begin to walk down the ale with my father. Everyone is seated now, Smiling as i walk pass them. I don't even know half of these people. The only people i know are Alison, Torey, Trevor, Chelsea, my mom and grandma, the rest are starangers.

Remembering my talk with Torey a few minutes ago kept flashing in my mind, and the words just seemed to stay in my head.

*Flashback*

i paced and back in fourth in the dinning room waiting for Torey. I was tempted to just slip away without anyone knowing and going away with Ryan. It was a thought.

Torey entered, i rushed over to him but stopped when i noticed the look on Torey's face and i just knew it was bad. 

"He left town...just packed up and left"

i shook my head, not wanting to believe it. No he couldn't have left. "Did he at least say why?" i murmur

Torey shakes his head in disappointment "He said he had to get away...to think. He wants you to live your life and not hold you back"

Hold me back? Live my life? Why was he telling himself lies? Never has Ryan held me back and i can't live my life without him in it. He's the best thing thats ever happened to me. For once i feel like i made it somewhere. I'm not the girl i use to be, i'm not going to cry over my stupid careless parents because they can't control me. I'm in the driver seat in my life 

"They can't control me" i whispered to myself. 

I looked out into the audience, their faces cluess then i looked at Harry. As i smiled. "I'm done" i said throwing the bouquet of flowers at Harry.

I run down the ale, Away from Harry, My parents and a married life. I can hear my parents call after me but i don't look back. Why should i? I'm not going to let them control me. I'm going off to college in a week and it would be stupid if i still let my parents do that to me.

I make it to the front lawn Wondering where i should go. "Demi!" i turn around to see Paul as he catches his breath.

"I'm kinda on the run right now" 

"Well lets hide out at my place" He said reaching out his hand to me. Paul's place is not where i wanted to hide. I was thinking of running to Ryan's house hoping he'd be there and i could talk to him.

"No i have to go" i said shaking my head and started to run away.

RYAN'S P.O.V

 I started to drive down the highway, my eyes were red. Ever since i left, i've been crying. I was worried about Demi and i wanted to be there for her but right when i was about to head over to her house i had gotten a call from my brother Shane and i didn't answer it at first but he just kept calling so i picked it up.

The reason he called me was because my mom was at the hospital. Shane explainned to me saying her cancer had came back. it literally crushed me So i had to make a choice. Demi or my mom and i had to pick my mom. i had too. I trust Demi to make the right choice, i know she can get out of the wedding if she listens to heart.

 

DEMI'S P.O.V

I ran as fast as I could through the streets. Cars honked at me. I was drawing so much attention to myself with my wedding dress on but right now I didn't care. I had to get to Ryan's place hoping he'd still be there waiting for me like a happy ending of a movie.

 When i made it to his house. it was completely empty. No Ryan anywhere.

yes I know I'm horrible for taking forever but college literally takes up my mind and time and I turned 20 last month which is pretty cool I guess but I still act like a crazy teen lol
