Yay! A chapter with two parts! Yay! This part isn't a diary.
TARO'S POV
I woke with a sense of dread. Today was the day. The day that I tell Ayano about Hanako. I had spent weeks setting up events so that Osana would take Hanako out for lunch, telling her I had to deal with something. Osana yelled at me as usual, but she took the job. I kinda feel sorry for her. Hanako ate a lot of cookies yesterday. When she woke up she ran over to Osana's in less than a minute. She'll have a lot on her hands. But I had something to deal with. Ayano. I went through my morning routine and finished it off with a cup of tea. I coughed on something. A tea stalk. A sign of luck. All I could do now was wait for Ayano to turn up, and hope that at least a little luck would actually come into my life.
I began to pace around my room, waiting for her. The clock on my wall was ticking agonizingly slow, each tick resonating around the room. Tick tick tick. I made myself another cup of tea to settle my nerves. And another. And another. I was in the middle of making another cup when I heard it.
A knock at the door.
AYANO'S POV
I woke up with a sense of excitement. I was going to go see Taro today. I wonder what Taro got for Christmas. Did he like my present? I hope he wasn't offended. I looked towards the clock next to my bed. 6:30. I spring out of bed. Clothes. PJs aren't good enough for Taro. I practically destroyed my wardrobe, discarding items that Taro wouldn't like. Then I saw it. A red jumper Taro bought for me last year. Perfect. I put it on and made myself some food, then wolfed it down. I did my hair in my usual style, a ponytail, before checking the time. 7:45.
7:45.
I was meant to be at Taro's for 8.
I sprinted out the door.
