Worthless the Forgotten one (Harry Potter Book 1)

Christmas Time

November passed quickly to December in which it was time for the snow to start falling, as the Christmas holiday was soon to begin as Mcgonagall asked around on who wanted to stay for the holidays, in which I volunteered immediately, knowing the Dursley's didn't want me there, and if I did go back I'd be abused and made to cook everything. Christmas time wasn't special to me, it was just like any other day in which that day I wasn't meant to be seen.

However haggard was pulling a tree inside the castle as everything was getting decorated as everyone was in the holiday spirit. But I however was playing chess with Draco as Neville and Hermione got packed to go home.

"Knight to E-5." I said to that one.

A piece moves across the board. Draco thinks for a moment.

"Queen to E-5." Draco smirked and I sighed. A queen walks over to E-5 and clinks the knight away. If I could see I could beat him but I just couldn't see.

"That's totally barbaric!" Hermione said and Neville came with his stuff packed.

"That's wizard's chess. I see you've both packed." Draco said to them both as he looked up from the chess board.

"See you haven't." Neville said back with a grin.

"Change of plans. I decided to stay here at Hogwarts since Worth is going to be here alone due to Potter is going to his relatives and she's not welcome. Weasley is going to be here though." Draco said and Hermione and Neville looked to Worthless who shrugged. I didn't really care about staying here alone, I'm used to it.

"Good. You can help Worth, then. She's going to go the library for information on Nicolas Flamel." Hermione said and I sighed. Why do I have to search for it when I already know? "You might know what is under the door but we need to find out." Hermione said suggesting on Neville, Draco and herself.

"We've looked a hundred times!" Draco said with exaggeration as he looked to me.

"Not in the restricted section...Happy Christmas." Hermione said and drags Neville with her away.

"I think we've had a bad influence on her." Draco whispered to me, and I chuckled. Knowing we have definitely corrupted Hermione into breaking the rules at Hogwarts as I then went with Draco to explore to see if we can find anything fun to do. And maybe ask Flitwick if we can decorate the hall with him.

It was finally Christmas as Fawkes was above Worthless as she was fast asleep on the bed for once, since Draco moved her there last night after noticing she was asleep oh the floor.

"Worth, wake up! Come on Worth, wake up!" Draco voice was heard and I groaned and rolled away, knowing that I wasn't meant to ever be seen on Christmas. "Come on Worth!" Draco said banging into the bedroom. "Get up! It's Christmas Day!"

"I'm not allowed up, never was allowed." I muttered under the covers and Draco frowned and then smirked, as a plan formulated in his head.

Draco suddenly flung Worthless over his shoulder. "Draco!" I screamed in shock as he smirked, and brought her to the common room and Fawkes flew in and landed on a chair and I was placed down on the chair, with Fawkes behind me as I was stunned at what Draco just did.

"Happy Christmas, Worth." Draco said to her with a green emerald sweater on.

"Merry Christmas, Draco. What are you wearing?" I asked confused, as what I felt on him wasn't pyjamas.

"Oh, mum made me one. Looks like you've got one too." Draco said to me and I was stunned...did he just say I got presents? For the first time in my life, I actually got present for nothing?

"I...I've got presents?" I said in shock as I was agape looking at him.

"Yeah!" Draco said and smirked.

"Oh! Really?!" I said and smiled but I was so in disbelief. Last Christmas's I got a polish, cloth and duster! But this time...I've got presents!

"There they are." Draco said and passed one that was small and wrapped in green to Worthless, as he eats some sweets. I felt the package the package beneath my fingers. "It's from...Snape." Draco said and smiled as he read the tag.

I blinked and smiled slightly as I opened it, and felt the box and opened it, wondering what he got me this Christmas since I couldn't get him anything due to I didn't have any money to get him anything. "It's a necklace?" I whispered, as I felt the necklace beneath my fingers with the cold metal.

"There's a note." Draco said and looked to the Note.

"To Worth,

Merry Christmas I know the Dursleys probably didn't make your Christmas very special.
This is a necklace from me and when you whisper my name I will be there immediately.

"It's one of a tabby cat, Worth." Draco said and I turned and Draco placed it on her and I smiled. "Next present." Draco said and passed her his mother's package. Especially when he explained to his mother about Worth, he didn't mention she was blind, but he explained that he wanted to get something for her for Christmas, and everyone has one. "This is from my mum."

I opened it and I felt the warm fabric beneath my fingers. "'It's emerald green so I hope you don't mind. She sown a Phoenix." Draco said and I placed it on and snuggled against the soft fabric against my skin. It just felt so warm and nice to have something on.

I kept opening them to find I had prank supplies from Fred and George, an audio player so I could play stories on and music from Hermione, a lioness teddy from Neville, I got from Mogorian and the centaurs a bow and arrow set, from Draco some sweets. Then I came to my last package.

"Lily and James stole this from one of the vaults that you should own by now. It is time that it was returned to you. Use it well." I read in confusion. What vault should I have owned by now due to I don't know that I had any vaults to claim.

I opened it to feel a piece of silky fabric beneath my fingers. It just felt like touching water. "It's a cloak." Draco said, and it felt like it belonged to me, I mean actually belonged to me.

"Well, let's see then. Put it on." Draco encouraged and I put the cloak on, and I hadn't realised my body disappeared all except from my head.

"Whoa!" Draco said in shock and I looked confused on what he's in awe about. "Your body's gone. I know what that is! It's an invisibility cloak!" Draco said and looked with awe at the rare item that Worth just received from someone.

"I'm invisible?" I said with shock as I turned around. "You know how I wish to see myself now."

"They're really rare. I wonder who gave it to you.." Draco said and looked at the note with confusion. He didn't recognise this handwriting.

"There was no name. It just said. "Use it well. It said also the Potters stole it from a vault...I wonder which vault." I said curiosity.

"I don't know. I thought the Peverells had a cloak but that's going into the descendants of a lot of witches and wizards." Draco said and whistled. He knew quiet a few families that could be related to the Peverells but he didn't know if they were true.

"It's going to drive us batty." I muttered and Fawkes squawked and flapped as he knew who it's from and what vault and I glared to him for that. "Shut up you! Show off." I said and Fawkes looked to me.

"Let me guess...he knows." Draco said and I groaned and chucked at a pillow at Fawkes sending him down, and suddenly Fawkes came flying at me as I squealed and ran away from the Phoenix as Draco laughed and with that...we spent the day chucking snow balls, building snow men with Fred and George. Just having a good time as we did. I knew this was the best first Christmas ever!
