Four more months, I thought. Four more months until this hell is over. It’s been a month since Josh got put in his cell and I’ve gotten off my crutches. I lie on my bed and stare at the ceiling, thinking about what’s going to happen after this is over.

The door to my room opened and closed quietly. I sat up and looked towards the door way. A black shadow came up to me and pushed me on the bed and covered my mouth.

“Speak a word, Cassie, and you won’t see tomorrow.” Josh’s voice filled above me. He removed his hand.

“H – How did you get out?”

          “I have ways.”

“You do know Thomas is going to be on your ass soon enough?”

“You should be thankful you have someone to protect you.” He spat.

          “Josh, what happened to you?”

“Being trapped in that cell happened. Things happen.”

“No, no.” I cried. “Josh this isn’t you.”

Josh got above me and pinned my legs down with his legs. I whimpered in pain. “Ever since that day, Cass,” he whispered. “You changed and I changed. You turned into Miss Baby while I grew on the darker side.” Josh scoffed. “Sorry to break it to you sweetheart.”

“Please, Josh. I miss you and I want the old you back. Remember the plan? The plan of escaping,” I whispered. “The maps are still under your bed.”

Josh sighed. “Yes, I remember.” Josh got off of me and grabbed the maps from under the bed.

Tears rolled down my face. “How did they treat you there? Is that why you changed?”

          “Yes, Cass, it did. Okay?”

I let out a shaky sigh. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry that you were stuck in there because of me.”

          “It’s not your fault.”

I looked at the ground. Josh came back over to me. His face was nearly an inch away. “Kiss me.” He demanded.

I was hesitant, but I did it. Butterflies filled my stomach. I missed his kisses on my lips. Josh cupped my face. I pulled away abruptly.

          “I – I’m sorry.”

“Cass?” I heard Josh’s sweet voice.

Josh looked at my eyes. “I missed you.”

I kissed Josh back with a little bit more force. His hands wrapped around my waist and pulled me close. I let out a shaky sigh on his lips. Josh’s hand slowly lifted up my shirt and felt around my stomach. I felt Josh push me against the wall.

“Josh, no.” I whispered as I felt him lifting up my shirt.

          “What?” He whispered.

          “I love Junior, remember?”

Josh sighed and stepped back. “Sorry.” He muttered. “Listen, I really need to tell you something. When I walked into your room, I’ve been having the feeling of something haunting me since the day I went into that cell.”
