We had less then 24 hours till we went to war.
Jake, Trudy, and I had tightened up the battle plans last night and that morning we quickly told the Clans and our human military squad. They took everything we said and got ready accordingly.
Today I stood in front of the Clans with a Stone hard mask.
Last night I allowed myself the moment to cry. But today and until the end of the war. I had to be strong. I didnt have time for petty romances. I had people to lead and protect. The Clans depended on me and Jake.
We had to project courage, bravery and set an example.
When it came to our weapons in the crates it was decided that all flyers going after the gunships would be given a gun and 2 bombs each. The plan was to attack on ikrans and stop the gunships by any means necessary. With Jakes crash course yesterday the warriors had a good idea what areas of the planes they needed to hit to bring them down.
The remaing guns and bombs would go to as many ground attacking warriors as we could provide and Ammo was distributed accordingly.
Jake would lead attack in the sky and I would lead the grounders because my abilites would be more use on the ground. Then if needed I would hit the skys and help the others.
I stood by the crates and helped distribute weapons with the other military Avatar drivers. Beyada'amo's had sent Peyral to me that morning. She was to do anything I commanded her to in regards of helping with the war preparations. She sneered at me, but I disregarded her looks. I quickly gave her a task and left it at that. I wasnt in the mood for her pettiness or reminders of yesterday.
Once everything was given out we began giving crash course lessons : 'How to use deadly weapons for dummies? '
The Na'vi were eager to learn. An they were smart and quickly caught on to how to use there extra weapons our friends from base provided.
The entire day was spent preparing. Tensions were rising and time was running out. 0600 tomorrow we would be posted in our designated locations.
An the war for Pandora would begin.
Gash'liz, the leader of the Horse Clans stood beside me loading her gun. She was a fierce woman who radiated authority. I hadnt realized there were female leaders in a Clan that werent Tsahiks. When I met her I was stunned and very impressed by how she commanded her warriors. They listened to her every command without hesitation.
Instantly decided I needed a couple pointers on how to be a good leader
from her. When I voiced this to her. Her own stony expression cracked and she let out the heartiest laugh. An told me she would be honored to school the Great Ey'lue in how to lead the people.
I didnt think I could be the best leader in the world within a couple hours but I hoped to learn something to help me improve.
Gash'liz was more then happy to assist.
She helped me gather our ground warriors and come up with a strategy that would best assist us in defeating the humans while also giving me pointers on how to lead them. She, Xi'lo' and I would be the heads of the ground attacks since they would all be riding direhorses.
I was surprised Xi'lo and his warriors were gonna ride them. But I guess for the great battle exceptions could be made.
I was finishing up talking to some warriors when someone came up to tell me Tsahik wished to speak to me.
I quickly went and found Neytiri's mother and beside her was Lungoru who was meditating.
"Ey'lue it is good to see you."
