"Woah!" Jake said holding on to the arms of his wheel chair tightly. He was currently in my room floating in mid air.

I smiled a little remebring when I had done the same with Tom, but worse.

"You believe me now?" I asked grinning.

"Yeah Yeah. Now put me down Snow." He said giving me a slightly panicked look. I giggled and gently place him back on the ground.

I had took a hour explaining to Jake why I was "famous" among the scientist around the base. Of course like most people...he had to see it to believe it.

"Snow?" I asked tilting my head curiously.

He smirked and shrugged his shoulders. "Thought I would give you a nickname since you got one for me."

Inwardly I smiled at how our friendship was beginning to grow & I pursed my lips. "Touché".

I looked around my new room and sighed. It had plain white walls. A bed, closet, night stand and a lap. In all it was pretty small and bland and I knew I would have to put up pictures and some of my drawings to make it look more like home.

"Alright Snow. Im gonna head to sleep. Gotta busy day tomorrow." Jake said sighing.

I smiled and nodded walking him to the door.

"Night Marine." I said leaning against the door frame.

"Night." An with that he wheeled out of my room and went a couple doors down to his own. I smiled at him and shut my own door.

I slowly got ready for bed. The tiredness that had been put at bay because of the excitement hitting me full on. Once I was finished I layed in my bed and shut my eyes. Letting the dream world take over.

The next morning I was almost skipping towards the link room.

Jake tried to look nonchalant about the whole thing, but I knew he was excited to.

Today we would be taking our Avatars out for the first time. I could barely control my excitment. I had been waiting for this moment for 4 years.

When we reached the link room about 5 minutes before oh eight hundred hours, we found Grace, Norm and Max already in the room. We made our way over to them and greeted them politely.

Everyone greeted us and then Grace clapped her hands together.

"Alright. Lets get this started. Norm your over there. How many link hours do you have?" She pointed to the first link bed on the back wall.

"Five hundred and twenty hours." He said before heading to his assigned bed.

She followed him over staying back and watched him get in his bed expertly. Before we knew it his machine powered on and the link bed pulled into its respected spot in the wall.

"Nova, your in the second. I know I don't have to worry about you. Dr.Heinburg was a dear friend of mine. He kept me informed about how your doing through letters sent on the voyages over the years." She explained.

So that's how they knew.

"I did not know Dr.Heinburg knew you personally." I said surprised.

She nodded and led me over to my bed. Then turned on Jake.

"Your bed three."

Jake quickly rolled over to his repspective bed beside mine. Grace look pointedly at Jake.

"How much link time?"

Jake looked up innocently. "About an hour I think." He said. I giggled softly and shook my head.
