Chapter 9

Hey peeps! Posting a new chapter! Read, comment, vote or fan! So without further ado here is Chapter 9! :)

I was quickly pulled out of the dream I was having when I heard the boy’s voices coming from somewhere in the room.

“Should we wake her up?” I heard Niall ask someone.

“No, she looks so peaceful when she’s asleep,” Liam said as I felt his arm wrap around me protectively. I guess I drifted off during the movie last night and ended up sleeping on Liam. He was like my own personal pillow pet I thought as I snuggled against his chest.

“First of all, get your arm off of my sister,” Louis snapped at Liam as Liam quickly pulled his arm away from its place around me.

“I say we carry her up to her room and…” Harry said as I heard Louis smack his arm.

“Not in that way Boobear! Not everything I say has a perverted meaning behind it!” Harry said defensively.

“With you Harry, you never know,” Louis said. I heard Harry huff and could just imagine him crossing his arms and giving Louis the death glare.

“I agree with what Harry said earlier,” Zayn said, speaking up.

“Ok, but if one of you even thinks about trying anything with her, you’ll regret the day you were put on this Earth!” Louis said.

“I volunteer!” I heard Harry say.

“Harry, you know I love you but I don’t trust you around my sister, if anyone should carry her it should be me,” Louis said as if stating a fact. I felt Liam move out from under me and then Louis wrapped his arms around the bottom of my thighs and carried me bridal style.

“Louis, please put me down,” I said sleepily as I tried to stifle a yawn.

“Well good morning sleeping beauty,” Louis said as he lightly chuckled at his witty remark.

“Please put me down,” I said more forcefully as I realized Louis wasn’t letting me go.

“Someone’s feisty today,” Louis said. He sighed and then put me down on my feet. I sleepily rubbed my eyes and stumbled backwards, my feet having fallen asleep. I would have fallen flat on my face if someone hadn’t caught me at the last minute.

“Thanks, I can be quite a klutz when I don’t get a whole lot of sleep,” I said as I looked into Zayn’s dreamy brown eyes.

“Uh, no problem,” Zayn said in his cute British accent. He gently helped me back to my feet and I felt my cheeks heat up when he touched my waist, making sure I was stable. He removed his hand from around my waist when I was able to stand on my two feet again.

“What time is it?” I asked Louis, changing the subject.

“About 7:15,” Louis said, looking at the watch on his wrist. My eyes nearly bulged out of my head.

“What?” Louis asked as he saw my eyes double in size.

“I have to be at school in 15 minutes, I’m going to be late!” I said, frantically running my hands through my hair. I made a mad dash up the stairs, not staying to hear Louis’s response, and ran into my bedroom as I shut the door behind me. Didn’t want any of the guys to happen to see me changing. I quickly stripped off my pajamas from last night until I was only in my bra and underwear. I threw on a baggy tee shirt and a pair of sweatpants and threw my blonde hair up into a messy bun.

I quickly applied some mascara and eyeliner and ran back down the stairs, throwing on my shoes somewhere along the way. I looked at the clock and was surprised that I had gotten ready in 10 minutes. New personal record, I thought to myself. I ran into the kitchen and grabbed a blueberry muffin and a bottle of water.

“Need a ride?” Liam offered me as he shook his car keys up and down.

“If you don’t mind,” I said, grabbing my book bag from its place near the door.

“It’s not a problem, now let’s go or you’re going to be late,” Liam said giving me a warm smile.

“Thanks Liam. You’re a life saver!” I said as I leaned up on my tip toes and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. I shouted a quick goodbye to the guys and ran out of the house after Liam. He opened the passenger side door for me and I smiled as I realized how much of a gentlemen he was. He slammed the door shut and walked over to the driver’s seat and quickly pulled out of the driveway. I gave him directions to the school and watched as he entered them into his GPS. Soon enough we were driving down the street and towards New Hollow High School.

“Thank again Liam. Usually Autumn’s here by now but I guess she overslept too,” I said, breaking the silence in the car.

“Like I said, it’s no big deal Sophie,” Liam said. “I don’t mind.”

“Hey Liam want to play a game?” I asked suddenly. He chuckled at my enthusiasm and turned to give me a genuine smile.

“Sure what do you have in mind?” He asked quirking an eyebrow.

“Let’s play a question game! I’ll ask you a random question and we just go back and forth,” I said wanting to get to know Liam better.

“Ok, you go first,” Liam said. I asked my question and we went back and forth like that for the rest of the car ride. I asked him basic questions like what his favorite color was and what it was like to be on tour. I loved talking to Liam. He was so easy to talk to and he made me laugh. It just felt so natural talking to him and it was like having another brother. I was so focused on our current conversation that I didn’t realize we had pulled up to the school.  

“Well we’re here,” Liam said, sounding a little disappointed. I guess he like talking to me as much as I liked talking to him.

“I don’t want to go, I want to stay here and talk to you,” I said.

“We can talk again after school, how does that sound?” He asked me. I nodded my head vigorously as I hopped out of the car.

“Have a good day, we’ll talk later I promise,” Liam said.

“Ok, see you later Liam,” I said. He waved at me and then pulled out of the school parking lot. I watched his car until it disappeared from sight.

“Who was that?” asked a voice from right behind me. I jumped about a foot in the air and turned around to find a very angry and hurt looking Daniel staring at me suspiciously. I flinched at his hard gaze and looked at the now suddenly interesting cement. How was I going to explain this to him?
