Chapter 8

Hey peeps! I am going crazy with updating and decided to write another chapter! So without further ado, here is Chapter 8!

Erica’s POV

I knew that the boys saw us as well as heard us as soon as we all burst into a fit of laughter at what we saw before us but I didn’t really care. I was laughing so hard my stomach started to hurt and tears started to roll down my cheeks. I mean what would you do if you saw the members of One Direction dancing and shaking their hips to the song “Single Ladies” by Beyonce.  The fact that Louis had put an onion ring ‘ring’ on Harry’s finger during the middle of the song just made it that much more funnier. I laughed so hard that I started to roll dangerously close to the stairs and before I knew it I was rolling down them. Once I reached the bottom of the steps I saw the boy’s red, embarrassed faces appear above me with all of them wearing the same expression of concern. I rolled over onto my side and started clutching it as I burst into another fit of laughter. Why did I have to be so awkward?

Sophie’s POV

I watched as Erica rolled dangerously close to the edge of the stairs and before I could react, she was already rolling down them, still laughing her head off. I sighed to myself and thought only something like that would happen to Erica. I saw the boys move over to Erica as she reached the bottom step. Each of them looked so worried about her that I found myself already starting to have a soft spot for all of them. Here they were, embarrassed as hell, and some girl who they have never met before (except for Louis) has fallen down the stairs and they still find a way to muster up their courage and go see if she’s alright. I was so lost in my thoughts that I almost didn’t hear my brother come up behind me.

“Is she ok?” He asked worry etched into his handsome face.

“Yeah, just Erica being Erica,” I said turning to face him. I looked over at Erica again and watched as she waved off the other boys and told them she was fine and that she was thankful that they checked to make sure she was alright. Louis chuckled to himself and I looked over at him, surprised.

“What’s so funny?” I asked him.

“I’ve known Erica as long as you have and she is still as awkward and as clumsy as when we first met,” Louis said amusement sparkling in his eyes. I saw a hint of something else, like adoration, flit across his features but it only lasted for a second before it went back to amusement. It happened so fast I thought maybe I’d imagined it. I thought Louis only thought of her as his sister’s best friend? Was he keeping something from me? I looked over at him and tried to read what was on his mind by studying his facial expressions. You could always tell what he was thinking by studying his facial expressions but right now I was getting nothing. I kept on looking intently at him hoping that I would somehow develop the ability to read minds and hear what was going on in that head of his. He looked at me out of the corner of his eye and lifted the corner of his mouth into a smirk when he saw the look I was giving him.

“You look constipated,” Louis said as he poked my cheeks.

“I’m trying to tell what you’re thinking right now,” I said defensively.

“I’m thinking that you look constipated,” Louis said.

“I give up,” I said raising my hands in defeat. Louis smirked at me and smoothly changed the subject.

“You know, I don’t believe I’ve properly introduced you to the lads,” He said. I was kind of glad about the subject change because talking about Erica with Louis would just be awkward but I knew I needed to talk to him about it soon. He pulled me to where the guys were in the kitchen getting Erica an ice pack for the giant bump on her head. She was sitting on the counter frowning but her face lit up when she saw me walk into the kitchen. Louis cleared his throat loudly and soon all eyes were on me. I squirmed under their gazes and found myself wondering if my makeup and hair looked ok.
