Valentine's Day

A/n I do not own modern family or any of its characters.

Luke's POV 13 February 23:00

We got home and Leah was super jet lagged so we went upstairs and we just slept. She lay on my shoulder and we talked for an hour before going to bed.

"I'm so glad you are here." I say kissing her head.
"I can't believe I'm here." She says with a smile.
"When does school start?" I ask not really wanting her to go.

"The 20th" She says with a sigh
She was in a specialized program studying to be an OB.
"So when are you getting your new apartment?" I ask as I gently trace over the outline of her hand with mine.

"I have to go get the keys on Tuesday and the shipment with all my stuff comes on Wednesday." She replies playing with her charm bracelet.
"Oh so you will have to stay here tomorrow." I ask excitedly as I look up and into her eyes.
"Yeah, and the next day if that's okay with you." She says with a smirk.
"Yeah it's perfect I love having you here." I kiss her on the cheek and when I pull I away we look at each other for a few moments. Time seeming to stop and a feeling that we are the only people in the world hanging over us.

She fell asleep in my arms as she traces the out lines of my chest, with every movement of her finger tingles are sent down my body and all I want to do is be impossibly close to her, but I resist the urge.

When she woke up I looked at the time 10:00. Oh my God we have to get up. I have a huge day planned after all this is technically our first date and I want to make it special.

I was going to start the day by making the whole family breakfast. I know everyone has their own dates planned so after breakfast I was going to take Leah to the beach which she has told me she loved before. I know this spot where me and my friends used to go it was the owners private beach but it was only a holiday home so I rented the house for a night. It is a really hot day which is surprising because it is winter.

We get up and head down so I can  make breakfast for the whole family.

Everyone was awake. I was able to hear Alex and Bill from my room. My parents were in the den and Haley and dylan were sitting at the breakfast counter dicussing baby names.

"Hey guys." I say as we walk in.
"Oh hey Luke and Leah." Dylan replies his mouth full of whatever food Haley is attempting to learn to cook now.

"Your up late. Is your jet lag still there?" Haley asks as she looks over at leah. Leah appears to be sleepy but snow other feature other than her eyes give it away.

"Ya but it's getting better," she replies the unusual accent still shocking me at times.

I made some eggs and bacon, and I got Haley to make her pancakes. I had to let Leah try them I mean my sister may not be the best cook by her pancakes are to die for.

"Breakfast!" I scream and everyone comes to the kitchen.

Leahs POV February 14 11:00

Ah Valentine's Day the day of all my rejection. The day brings with it so many bad memories, but Luke said he had a great day planned so maybe my whole view of Valentine's Day could change.

"Hey baby you want to go get dressed."  Luke says walking into his room where I was resting on the bed. If I'm being honest I don't feel to well from the jet lag but I don't want to worry him.

"Yeah sure of course," I reply
"We have a big day planned," he says as he walks over to the bed and gently kisses my forehead. I tilt my head back and our lips meet. The peck turns into a full out make out session that leaves me hot, but I pull away in need of air.
