SUICIDE
SEXUAL HARASSMENT
SOCIETYThere will be no next week
The only thing here
when you finally make time to meet
is a hollow lifeless body, if you will weep
Because when I cried for help
It is you who failed to see
chose to turn away
and ignore, completely. The words that you speak
They don't quite sound the same
Questions you kept asking me
Were like screaming words of pain
"Everything's fine."
You laugh with your friends
While these honest words to me
you don't play pretend
Words that you won't listen
you're drowning yourself out
You want me to help you
but you're running in circles
your mind -
stuck in rerouteIn that state, you don't really think straight
Scream, shout, fall to the floor
Wondering what happened
you don't know anymore
Pick up that knife
You have nothing left in this lifeBut Before you go
I just want you to know
You're hurting your friends
The ones on you they depend
Your lover, your family
Who accept you despite your insanity
You smiled, you laughed
and you said you're okay
What happened to you,
along the way?
I'm sorry no one could make you feel fine
But if you go, the broken heart you're leaving me is mine
I know that sometimes it's really difficult to bear
But the people who love you
Will always be thereHere lie your mistakes
Forever heartaches
May your soul be kind
With peace in mindThe rain has stopped
and skies are clear
Don't worry now love
I'll stay with you hereJust close your eyes
When death is near
There is nothing left in this life
That you should fear
_____________________________I went out with a boy
I thought he liked me much
But he filled me with poison
So he could reach for places he can't touch
He whispered in my ear,
"You're so pretty. You're so beautiful."
"You're the most athletic girl in school."
I gave no consent
To all that was done
It was him who grabbed me
And thought that was fun
He wiped his hands clean
And lied with his tongue
Said he didn't realize
That I was struggling to run
Expensive drinks at the bar
I'm not sorry
I puked on his leather seated car
If he dare try that again
I'll make sure that it'll be
His The Endthis is the mentality
Of this unsophisticated society
Because when things go wrong
They will point their fingers sharp and long
At the girl who was misunderstood
Because she thought it impolite
to put down a foot
What does she know
You asked her in
she just went with the flow
So what happens is
The fault will never be his
Playing "hard to get"
A reality that was never true
What was on his mind
I bet she hadn't a clue
And the cruelest thing people have said yet
Was that she was asking for it
and that is exactly
what she will get._____________________________
You can't speak the truth honestly
They will take your words and kill you brutally
You can't expect zero casualty
Because we live in an ignorant societyMy voice is only like the wind, Humming silently
You want to talk about equity and sexuality
What you'll get is only judgements and criticisms,
given "constructively"Does this make you regret
Does it make you want to take off your humble hat
And in defeat throw it on the dirty ground?
Frustrated that the voice you were raising
you were barely making any soundBecause the ones who wear the golden crown
They toss their shallow thoughts everywhere
and all around
Unable to comprehend and accept
Liberal ideas and innovative conceptsSo what can we do to save
This society from higher authorities who misbehave
The truth is that it takes all of us
To start a kind and compassionate loving waveFailed Modernity
In a world too ill for me
Where fragility is deemed frailty
A weakness - one's vulnerability
A society not well-acquainted with
emotional agility
Hence, where you are not
is where I shall be
In the far away oasis of serenity

Two Years Late
PoetryA collection of moments where rhyming was necessary. Short, simple poetry; yet, those who relate - too many. Weird titles for humor, but that doesn't make the poem experience less painful. Those titles are painful to me though. You'll see.
