My mood dropped knowing I wasnt the reason for the smile. But I covered it up with a fake smile as he told me how they have been.

Let's just say I regret asking.

Chapter 6 🥀

Asher's POV

I had alot in my mind. I had decisions to make, a future to be ready for and lots more.

I know I just finished highschool and still waiting for college admission but I feel like I know who I want to spend the rest of my life with. You might think it's too early but when you are in love, there's never a too late or a too early.

Kimberly Anne Anderson.

Thinking of her name only made me smile.  I love that girl to bits and I can't wait to make her my wife. But, I'll have to wait. At least wait till I'm done with College.

Kim made a lot of changes in my life. She made me smile more, she made me happy, she brought out the real me. Every minute around Kim was a blessing I am grateful for. But right now, Kim wasn't with me unfortunately.

But I did promise her we'll go have dinner in an Italian restaurant later in the evening.

"Shit" I was so consumed in my thoughts that I just passed the apartment building.

I was driving to my friend Jason's apartment and let's say, I wasn't concentrating and I just passed the building four blocks away.

I swerved and turned the car, heading to my friends house.

The private elevator pinged to a stop and it opened to Jason's apartment. One of the perks of being a billionaires son is having a private elevator.

His Dad was a business Tycoon having managing many building companies and have mergings  with other business Tycoons. So Jason's apartment having a private elevator wasn't a suprise.

His apartment was more of an art gallery than a home. His love for art is so surprising. He has these expensive articrafts hung all around and it was beautiful.

"Hey man, what's up?" Jason came out and gave me what people call a 'bro hug'.

"Hey Jason, haven't seen you in days."

He lead me to the kitchen, took out a bottle of wine and two glass cups. He poured me some wine and handed it to me.

"Only because you have been busy with the two most important girls in your life." He took a glass and poured himself too before chugging it down, and refilling.

I laughed "Yeah, Kim and Ashley." before taking a sip.

He took the bottle of wine and his glass then we headed to the living room. Settling down, he switched on the TV.

"So how is she?" He asked

"How's who?" I know who he was asking but I wanted to be sure.

"Ashley, how is she?"

"She's fine, and Kim is fine too." I answered before taking another sip. An animal documentary was playing in the TV and I was the least interested.

"I didn't ask about Kim. I only asked about Ashley. You know I never liked her and still never do." He stated the obvious.

I sighed, "Yeah whatever."

Jason never liked Kim. He always loved Ashley more, always rooting for Ashley and I to end up for reasons I don't know. I mean it's obvious that she doesn't have feelings  for me and I don't have feelings for her, we are just friends.
