Kim doesn't know I have a crush on him though so I don't blame her. My wide smile dropped into a frown as I remembered 'Us' will never happen. Not even in my dreams.

I sighed, reminiscing my previous night with Asher. It was nothing special to him but it meant everything to me. We went to the cinema and watched the movie Baywatch. Then we walked around the park hand in hand.

A smile krept onto my face as I remembered the happy memories. But one particular conversation stuck to my memory.

"I'm sorry I haven't been hanging out with you as often as im supposed to." He said to me as we were walking in the park, hands clasped.

"Its alright, I understand." I slowly nodded.

He have me a smile and said "I'm so lucky I have you in my life. You're the most understanding girl anyone will want as a best friend."

I smiled weakly, trying to hide the fact that I don't like the term 'friend'.

That night, he kept on rambling about how Kim changed him to the better. "Kim made me a better person,  She made me realise the real me, I was much of a better person ever since I met her, She became My favorite person."

I tried to smile after that but I couldn't. It just hurt so much that I'm always second. He seemed to notice my change of mood so he drove me to my favorite diner. The rest of the night, he didn't mention Kim and I was most grateful.

I was watching a YouTube video on a new chocolate Cake recipe I found out as I jotted down the recipe when someone banged into my room.

It was no other than the only person who enters my room without knocking, the always suger high bubbly bunch of energy, and also my BFF, Summer.

She shrieked and jumped on me, tackling me in a bone-crushing hug. "Oh emmm Geee! Ash-bear, I haven't seen you in like years!! I miss you!"

I giggled as I hugged her back "Sum, you just saw me two days ago."

She shrugged and let me go, a slow grin krept onto her face "So, how are you?"

"I'm okay, I guess.". I shrugged, trying to act neutral but she caught up.

She shook her head "Nah, something is definitely wrong. You can't hide anything from me, I'm your bestie."

I sighed, of course she'll find out.

"I guess that calls for an emergency girls night!" She squealed. "You're gonna tell me everything."

I winced at her high voice and winked "And you gonna tell me all what's happening between you and Kyle."

She just blushed. "The gossip will wait till tonight, now we have a manicure session to be in ten minutes!"

And she dragged me off my bed to go have a girls out.

The whole day consists of us having a manicure and pedicure session, we had our hair trimmed and went on a shopping spree. It was fun to forget about Asher and Kim for a day.

Summer kept telling me about this new horror movie that was out on cinema and she wants me to watch. I shook my head telling her how much I hate horror movies. As if she doesn't know

You might be surprised to find out that this always  happy SpongeBob character I call my friend enjoys watching horror movies. She loves seing people suffer, the scary clowns, dolls and all. But I prefer something like romance or adventure.

Summer bobbed her blonde hair as she listened to a music being played in the radio as she drove us to an eatery. We walked into 'Ravens' my favorite diner to grab some lunch. We  ordered our usual double - burger with fries and milkshakes as we sat down and waited for our food.

"Hey girls, fancy seeing you here!" I froze mid-sentence as a familiar friend made her presence noticed.

"Oh hey Kim, how are you?" Summer asked, smiling up at Kim.

"I'm doing fine actually, came here to grab lunch. Mind if I seat with you?" Kim asked.

As much as I don't like the fact that she's dating Asher, shes my friend and she too nice for me to be bitter towards. I sighed, if only she was hateable.

"No probs, have a seat." I smiled at her as she sat down.

She smiled back and we all drove into a conversation of whether mushrooms sleep or not.
