Izuku and His Dragon Maid

Chapter 4: Going To School

(Izuku POV)

   Kanna was laying across my lap, completely tired for a reason I didn't know. "Izuku-San," She picked her head up and looked at me. "Yes?" "Can I ask you for something." I nodded, "Sure, what is it?" "U-Um, can I go to school?" How did she learn about school? "May I ask why?" Her eyes lit up like stars, "because it seems like fun! I also want to see my friend more," So that's how she knows, that makes sense. "Sure Kanna-Chan, just let me see when it starts." She got up off my lap, and ran into her room, I pulled out my phone, and after a couple hours of research, at last thats what it felt like. I found that the nearest school that she would go to, would be starting two days from now. The same time as the entrance exam for UA. Sweat dropped from my forehead, "Is something wrong Izu-kun~" Tohru walked into the living room with a tray, she set it down and I knew it was my favorite coffee. "Yes, there is." I grabbed the mug, and took a sip of the scalding liquid, "Thank you." She smiled and took a seat next to me, "You know how Kanna wants to go to school?" I asked, I took another sip, and it scalded me again. "I think so, why?" "It's two days away, and its on the same day as my entrance exam for UA. I don't even know how I'm going to get her into the school, in such a short time." I slumped down on the couch, not moving my arms from the same position they were in, cause I didn't want to burn myself. "And I know that she really wants this to happen. What am I supposed to do Tohru?" I sighed and put my drink down, "Don't worry Izuku, You'll find a way, I just know it." I looked at her cute round-ish face, admiring her smile, and her cute orange-yellow eyes. I rubbed my face, "Yeah, you're right." I drank the rest of my coffee, ignoring the burning pain that was going down my throat. "Delicious! Kanna, get ready to go shopping, nooow!" I shouted, but kept my voice down as to not annoy my fellow neighbors. I stood up, and walked to the front door, I slipped on my shoes as soon as I saw Kanna come around the corner with a rain coat on. "It's raining?!" 'Damn...' I grabbed the umbrella that was hanging up, I then put on a sweatshirt, and grabbed my wallet on the shoe closet. "Can we go Izuku-San?" I put my hand on her head, "Of course Kanna-Chan. You ready Tohru?" She walked around the corner, and had a different maid outfit on, one that looked like it was made of rubber. "Yeah, let's go Izu-Kun~" I opened the front door, and stepped out into the walkway of the complex, to see the rainy skies. We walked down, and exited the complex. I opened the umbrella, and hung it over me and Tohru, since Kanna had one of her own.

   "That'll be 14392.19¥ (100 usd) Sir. Will you be paying with cash or card?" I pulled out my wallet, and took out the card my mother gave me, and swiped it. After a few moments the machine accepted it, and spat out a receipt. "Thank you for shopping, have a great rest of your day!" I grabbed the several bags full of school supplies, "A good day to you as well." I walked out of the shop, and headed to where Tohru and Kanna were. I walked in to see them looking for a backpack for Kanna to use. "Yo, how's it going?" Kanna turned around with a bag in her hands, "Oh, so you like this one? Great choice, if I could I would've used that as well!" The bag was a simple one, it wasn't to bright or to dull, it was perfect for her, a simple red bag. She gave it to me, and I went to the counter with it. "Will this be all sir?" I looked to Tohru and Kanna, and saw that she had stars in her eyes as she stared at the metallic emblem. "One second please," I walked over to them. "Which one do you want Kanna-Chan?" She gasped, and pointed to a dragon, that was oddly similar to Tohru's dragon form. "This one?" "Yes!" Her eyes were bright, and cute. "Alright then," I walked back to the counter with the emblem. "Thank you, have a good rest of your day. Especially you, you cutie." She looked to Kanna, and looked like she was going to pinch her cheeks. "You too." Kanna took the bag, and put it on. Her eyes lit up, I could tell that she was going to love school. 

   "Ame Ame Ame," I heard Kanna say as she walked in place, she really loves the rain. We were almost home, and were waiting for the crosswalk to activate when Tohru latched onto my arm for some reason. I looked at her, and looked behind her to see two men behind her. They looked like your friendly neighborhood assholes. "May I help you two?" "This is the man you were talking about dating, hah! He's a huge fuckin n-" "Tohru, take Kanna and go home, I'll be back in a few." She looked at me weirdly, cause she hadn't seen this side of me, my more serious side. But she still listened, and took Kanna across the street, when the crosswalk was activated. "You don't want your girlfriend to dump you, so you sent her home. You are a fucking nerd," The one on the left put his hand on my shoulder, and was obviously taller than me. "You made a big mistake, now you have to pay." He and his buddy, picked me up and brought me to the alley behind me. I hit the wall they threw me at, and slumped down emotionless. I heard the sound of something sharp being released, and a switchblade was held against my throat. "You ruined my chance at scoring a real beauty, now you'll pay with your blood." He pressed the knife against my throat, and slit it...or so he thought. He expected there to be blood spilling from my throat, but he pulled his blade away, to find it broken. I stood up, pushing his hand off of me, and looked at him as my skin turned to green scales, just like Tohru's. 

   I breathed a small amount of fire out of my mouth, embers fell to the ground as the two men took fighting stances. I walked closer to them, as things caught on the ground set on fire, Showing off the two's quirks. The one that stabbed me, had metal circling around him in a liquid form, the other one had a gun, but it looked futuristic and abnormal. I continued walking as they shot bullets at me, and tried to get under my scales with the metal liquid. I grabbed the gun wielder's neck, and threw him down into the ground, knocking him out. My fist started to burn, when I punched the second one in the face, also knocking him out. "Next time, you shouldn't swear around children, nor harass my maid." "Y-You'll be sorry, the Yakuza won't forget," said the one with the gun, I originally thought he was out cold. So I kicked him upside the head, and walked back out of the alley with my skin back to normal. "I'm home!" I called out as I opened the front door, Kanna came running from her room with her backpack on. "Izuku, Izuku. Look!" She showed me her bag in all of it's glory, it had the dragon on it and everything, adding to how cute she was. "Aww, you're so cute!" I held my cheek and saw Tohru come up to her, she whispered something, and Kanna started to take off her backpack. She handed it to Tohru, and she put it on. "How do I look Izuku?" My gaze darkened, "There's too much going on." "Huh?" As the day went on, and it turned to night, Kanna  wore the backpack the entire time, even as she slept. "She seems to love it, doesn't she?" Asked Tohru, Kanna turned and tossed in her bed trying to find the perfect position, when she threw it off of her onto the ground. I sighed, and closed the door to her room.

(Two days later)

   I had on my outfit I was going to wear for the exams, and Kanna was ready for school. "Ready?" I asked her, she slipped on her shoes that she usually wore, and nodded in delight. "Alright then." Since her school was on the way to UA, I decided I would walk her there. "Tohru, I don't really need you to do much, I should be home at 12:00 o' clock, before Kanna get's back from school. So do whatever, I don't really care, just don't be doing weird things with the stuff in my room." She nodded, but I knew she would do exactly that.

(Tohru POV)

   The first thing I did when Izuku left, was go into his room. I've been in there plenty of times, but the most notable was the first night I was here. So being the good maid I was, I took it out of the closet and dusted it off. Something compelled me to open it, and so I did. Inside was a black book, so I took it and flipped it open to a random page. There were photos of Izuku as a baby, being held by a red haired woman and a man with black hair and green highlights in it. Beside it was the caption of, "First family photo! Kimihito Kobayashi, Kaori Kobayashi, and Izuku Kobayashi" This was the first of many pictures of Izuku. But after Izuku had his fourth birthday, his dad had suddenly disappeared from all of the rest of the photos. I noticed that the box was partially open at the bottom, so I moved it to the side to see a photo of his dad, a really up close one as well. I picked it up from the bottom of the box, and turned it around, there were words written in black marker. "In loving memory of Kimihito, he was too young to be taken from this wonderful world. 2098-2130, you were the light of my life" It was written in feminine handwriting, and there were tear stains marking it. I placed it back down as tears filled my eyes, and closed the box after putting the album back in. Tears gathered in my eyes, "I don't think I'll come back in here without him..." I placed it back in the closet, and went back to the living room area to work on something, something that has taken me a while to make.

(Izuku POV)

   I was walking to UA by myself because Kanna's friend had appeared, so she started walking with her. I was at the gates of UA, admiring at how beautiful the school was, when I saw someone trip. I quickly lit my legs on fire, when the girl started to float after touching her fingers together. The flames faded away, and I walked to the front doors, entering the building was even more amazing. There was a large gathering of people in one space, but I had to sit in the seat I was given. Once at my seat, I noticed I would be sitting next to Katsuki, ever since Tohru came, we've been mending our friendship ever since. "Yo! Kacchan," he looked at me, and scoffed. "You ready to pass the exams?" "Of course. With my quirk, it'd be almost impossible to lose!" His hands started to spark, and his seat caught fire due to them. Quickly I sucked the growing flames up, they tasted like smoke, so I coughed a bit. He looked at me as if I wasn't human, "You never told me about you being able to eat fire why?" He asked sarcastically, "Sorry *cough* I didn't think it was necessary *cough*" embers came out of my mouth as I coughed. The lights started to dim, so I sat down, still coughing up a storm, when a man walked onto the center platform.
