The next morning, Stiles and I join Betty and Jug on their walk to school while the others have breakfast at Pops. We're walking towards the school just talking to each other, I'm being grilled by Jughead about the talk about Scott the other night.

"Scott and I just hooked up a few times! It's nothing." I admit.

"Didn't look like nothing behind the school the other day." Stiles chuckles.

"Stiles!" I yell, hitting him.

"Ooooh! What happened, Logan?" Jug asks, nudging me, I punch him too.

"Nothing happened!" I laugh.

"I don't need werewolf senses to know that you are absolutely lying!" Betty laughs.

"I feel attacked!" I laugh back.

"I caught them with their tongues down each other's throats." Stiles chuckles.

"We did not... Stiles!" I yell.

The laughter is cut short I'm stopped in my tracks, grabbing Stiles' arm and holding Betty and Jughead back as Jarred stands in front of us.

"Logan. Welcome back to Riverdale." He says, approaching us. I growl at him, he laughs. "You really think you can defy me? You're my wolf."

"I'm not a part of your pack and you can feel it. I've never been your wolf." I say, taking a step forward.

"The serpents don't count as a pack, Logan." Jarred scoffs.

"I'm not a member of the serpents. I never was. I found the true Alpha, and I'm a part of HIS pack." I say, he looks surprised and angry.

"Scott McCall." Jarred growls.

"So, leave the serpents be, they have nothing to do with me." I say.

"I wanted the serpents to pay for taking you from me. But I'm not the only one with a grudge against the serpents. Let's just say I have a partnership with someone very angry with the serpents. It's simple, you join me, I call off the deal. You refuse, and they all die. Every. Last. One." Jarred says.

"Why don't you just kill me? You'd get power from me, you won't from the serpents." I say.

"But where's the fun in that? You're not a serpent, right? It's not my job to kill you. I want you to join me. My first Beta." Jarred says.

"Over my dead body will I join you." I say.

"Then prepare for a memorial, because when I'm done, there will be nothing left for a funeral." Jarred says, he storms off towards the woods.

"You'll be lucky I don't drown you in Sweetwater river!" I scream in his direction, but he's gone.

"That's...?"

"Jarred." I say, interrupting Stiles.

"So, he won't kill you because you're not a serpent, but will kill the serpents because you won't join him?" Betty asks, I nod.

"I need to go, Stiles, get Betty and Jug to school and go find Scott, tell him what happened." I instruct, beginning to run off.

"Where are you going?" Jug yells.

"Don't follow me!" I call.

I walk into the Wyrm, looking for FP, I find him sitting at the bar chatting to a bartender.

"Logan! What do I owe the pleasure?" FP asks.

"You were right. It doesn't matter that I'm in a pack. It doesn't matter that I don't live in Riverdale, I should honor my parents. I want to do the dance." I say, FP looks at me shocked.

"Are... Are you sure?" FP asks.

"It's the only way the older serpents are really going to trust me without knowing the truth about me. I saw Jarred, the alpha that bit me. He said he won't kill me because I'm not a serpent, but will kill the serpents because I won't join him." I say.

"So, this is what you're planning?" Jughead asks from behind me.

"Jughead?" I say, surprised.

"Logan I'm not a part of your pack, I have no loyalty to Scott, I would've helped you." Jug says.

"You're family, Loag, but I didn't want Jug to join and I don't want you to either." FP says.

"FP it's simple, I become a serpent, make sure he finds out about it, he comes for me, we trap him, Scott gets the info from him and we take him down." I say.

"What about when it's all over, or if he hurts you or me or Jug? You'll just go back to Beacon hills. Logan you're already in the serpent family." FP says.

"FP, I said it once and I'll say it again, I don't have a serpent tattoo on my thigh and the serpent law etched into my brain to sit here and be told I'm 'not serpent enough by them and that I'm 'serpent enough' by you." I say.

"Wait, you actually have a serpent tattoo?" FP asks. I nod, patting my thigh.

"Got it before I left." I say, FP sighs, pacing slightly.

"FP you're the leader, you know I know how important serpent law is, and you know I can't abandon my pack." I say.

"Logan, that's what I'm saying! Being a serpent is a commitment. A commitment you can't promise us." FP says.

"You know my dad wanted me to-"

"I know, but your dad and your mom also wanted you to marry Jug and have the two of you take over from me one day, I don't think he accounted for you becoming a supernatural creature." FP says, I sigh.

"Logan," FP begins, putting a hand on my shoulder.

"Even without the jacket, without the dance, you're a serpent." FP says.

"I've gotta go. I'll see you later, guys." I say, I walk out of the Wyrm, I don't know what to do.

"Logan!" Jug yells, running after me.

"Leave me alone Jug." I say,

"Nope, not going to do that." Jug says.

"I know It was probably a stupid idea, but I don't know what else to do." I sigh.

"Have you tried actually talking to your pack?!" Jug suggests.

"Fuck off, you don't know anything about my pack." I say.

"I know you've avoided them like the plague since they got here. Stiles and I talked once you ran off." Jug says.

"I just... I just wanted to be the one to make the first play. I wanted to help." I say.

"You are helping, Logan, but you need your pack." Jug says. I nod.

"So that was your big plan? To officially joined the serpents so Jarred would attack you?" Lydia asks, we sit in the motel room, cramped in.

"I thought if I did it and he came after me, we could trap him in, and find out who he's working with, and how to stop it all." I say, Lydia sighs, but Scott points at me.

"Logan has a point, if we can get him in a room with mountain ash, touch him with a bit of kanima venom and use the limited time we have to get answers, maybe you do the dance, but only for show..." Scott says.

"Hate to be the kill joy here... But we don't have mountain ash or kanima venom." Malia says.

"Correction, YOU don't have mountain ash or kanima venom." Stiles says.

"Not even surprising." Lydia asks, Stiles winks at her.

"Okay. Let's make a plan, then go see Jug and FP." I say.
