Queen
Soon as Chris came home, he collapsed onto my bed. He wasn't in the same clothes as the day before. "Where the hell were you last night nigga?!" I side eyed him. "And please don't say with Nicole.
"I slept a friend's house.." He answered nonchalantly with a shrug.
"Nigga quit lying! I called all yo friends and none of them said they heard from you! Just spill it!" I looked at him, daring him to lie again.
"I slept over at Leele-I mean Leeyah's house.." He said with a smile on his face.
"Chris.." I said in a serious tone. Leeyah was a nice girl, nothing like Nicole. Hopefully Chris didn't do anything stupid.
"It wasn't even like that. After I left Nikki's house, I went talk to Leeyah. By time we were done talking, it was late so she offered me the guest room for the night, no biggie!" Did he really not see what the big deal was?
"Yes biggie!" I said, making him upside the head. "So you slept over there then what?"
"I ain't tellin yo hittin ass shit!" He said before trying to escape my interrogation but he knew better. "Then nothing. I woke up early, cooked her breakfast, and we played by the pool. We were actually having fun until her and Nikki got into it.."
"That bitch gon stop playing with my new sister in law before I beat her ass again!" The more I thought about it, the more I liked the idea of Leeyah and my brother being together.
"Woaaaaah, Leelee is not my girlfriend!" He laughed. "We're just friends so pump ya breaks sis!"
"Yeah sure.." I rolled my eyes, knowing damn well they were more than just 'friends'.
"I'm serious Q. Besides, I have a child on the way anyways so-" My head started spinning. Did he just say what I think he just said?
"What?!" I yelled.
"She told me she was pregnant last night.." He said shaking his head. "That's why I went talk to Leeyah."
"Chris you can't possibly believe that bullshit!" It was a well known fact that Nicole was a hoe so we all knew it wasn't Chris' baby.
"I'll know by Monday.."
"What's Monday?" I asked.
"She set up a doctor's appointment so I guess I'll see by then if she's really pregnant or not. I'll save up my money and do for mine.."
"If it's yours." I said below my breath but he still heard me.
"Yeah that too I guess.." He got up and walked out of my room.
This shit is gonna tear my poor brother apart. I know he's not ready for a child right now, but what can he do? I just hope Mama takes it well..
Leeyah
Since I had nothing better to do, I guess I'll grab something to eat then go sight seeing. I wanted to hang out with Chris but he had other plans. "Excuse me miss, I don't mean to be rude but do I know you from somewhere?"
"No I don't think so.." I said while still looking at my menu.
"You didn't even look up!" He laughed. When I finally did look up, I was flabbergasted.
"Oh hey.." I smiled some.
"Remember me now?"
"Uh nope, I don't recall. Where you know me from?"
"I don't but I would like to.." I can't even lie, that was kind of smooth.
"Leeyah.." I extended my hand.
"Cykeem.."
"Nice name.." I laughed.
"Ditto!" He smiled. "What you doing here another anyways?"
"What's wrong with me eating alone? You're alone too!"
"You right, but I just got off from work. I deserve this dinner!"
"Work? You don't even look old enough.."
"How old I look?"
"18, maybe 19.."
"Try 21" He chuckled. Damn, too old for me!
"Oh cool.." I shut down after he told me his age.
"You?"
"17.."
"Could've fooled me.." I looked over at him and laughed.
"Aren't you gonna run off now that I've told you my age?"
"Whatcha mean?"
"I'm only 17.."
"So? Just because I'm older, I can't talk to you?"
"No I'm not saying that, it's ju-"
"Nah it's cool, you think I'm some type of creep or something. I'll just go, nice meeting you Leeyah.."
"No, wait Cykeem!" I sighed. "I didn't mean it like that at all.."
"I know, I'm just messin!" He laughed then sat back down.
"Jackass!" I laughed.
"Well thank you, thank you very much!" He smiled. "Anyways, back to you being here alone.."
"What about it?"
"It's New York and you're not out with friends.."
"That's because I don't have any. I just moved here from California a few weeks ago.."
"Yeah, I figured you weren't a New Yorker; too nice!" I giggled. "You been sight seeing yet?"
From then on, our conversation was full of laughs. After I paid for my food, we went sight seeing. Even though I didn't know him, I enjoyed his company. He was cool and easy going. Before we parted ways, we exchanged hugs and numbers.
