Neil: 21
Nikki: 21
Max: 20

I have a headcanon that Max is the youngest of the trio

This whole chapter is basically a headcanon.

Max held his cup of black coffee in his hand, letting it warm his palms. He chuckled softly at Neil's previous joke before taking a sip.

"Here's your food," said the waiter in his deep, clear voice.

He put Neil's chicken sandwich and Nikki's ceasar salad on the table in front of them. He gave a welcoming smile to them, his teeth sparkling.

The man was tall and with a broad frame. His muscles were bigger than Max and Neil's combined, granted they barely had any. His black hair was fluffy yet well styled and shiny.

"Yours is coming," he said to Max.

As he walked off, Max couldn't help but feel the stranger was familiar. It didn't make sense. As he walked away from out table, he bumped into another one with a young woman sitting at it.

Max still glared at him as he apologized to the woman. The woman giggled and twirled her hair and said something else to him, which he couldn't blame. The dark haired man seemed bashful as he spoke back to the woman. Max figured they were flirting, but why was the attractive man so bashful?

The stranger seemed to have a benevolent yet humble vibe to him that Max seemed to recognize. He seemed very apologetic, almost as if he didn't see himself as every teenage Twilight fan's dream boy.

"Does that guy seem familiar to you?" Neil asked, beating Max to the punch.

"That's what I was thinking," replied Max.

"Did any of you catch his name tag?" Asked Nikki, furrowing her eyebrows.

Neil and Max both shook their heads.

All three of them eyed the stranger as he continues talking to the curly haired woman. She couldn't take his eyes off his muscles.

"He seems so familiar," remarked Max.

"Where have I seen him before?" Asked Nikki.

Max saw the man coming back to their table with his apple pie. He
sat up straight, telling the two to be quiet. They immediately shut up.

"So what about you going back to Camp Campbell to be a counselor?" Laughed Neil.

Max's face began to heat up with embarrassment. He would rather be caught talking about the stranger than have everyone know he was willingly going back to counsel with David.

"What did David think of the whole thing? Did you give him a hug?" Nikki teased.

"'Counselor Max'. That kinda has a ring to it," Neil giggled.

"Alright, you both can shut the fuck up now," Max said obnoxiously. "Yes I'm going back to Camp Campbell, but only because David made me."

The last part was a lie but Max couldn't risk them knowing.

"Oh so that's where I know you guys!" Exclaimed the stranger. Max could smell his nice cologne.

"Huh?" Said Max as the stranger put his apple pie back down.

He didn't look like anyone Max knew but he did have an undeniable Camp Campbell vibe.

Max glanced at his nametag, almost gasping at what he saw. No, it couldn't be. He was so glad he wasn't drinking ho is coffee at that moment or he would've spat it right out in surprise.

"You guys went to Camp Campbell, right? I don't really remember your names. Sorry about that," the stranger said. He then glanced at Neil. "Well except for you Neil."

"Holy shit," breathed Neil.

He must've read the nametag. Guy in front of us, the ladies man, the good looking gentleman was none other than Jermy Fartz.

"Holy shit" was correct. We would've never seen it coming.

"Hey," Nikki chimed in, "didn't you used to wear glasses?"

Of all things Nikki could've noticed.

Jermy smiled at her and laughed. "Yeah but I wear contacts now. I guess me without glasses is hard to recognize."

"Y-yeah," agreed Max, knowing that wasn't the only reason they didn't recognize him.

"Well I'll see you guys later. I gotta get back to work," said Jermy.

Neil, Nikki and Max stared at eachother in disbelief as Jermy Fartz walked away.

"What the fuck?"

Sorry if it was a little too predictable.
