Jeongin♥
I'm going to visit my grandma
at a nursing home todayYou wanna come? I'll be fun
Oh okee^_^
I'll pick you up in thirty mins:)
I quickly rose up from my bed and took out whatever I could find just laying there. I put on a yellow turtle neck, along with a brown corduroy overalls and black Doc Martens. I just left my hair down and found a small handbag to keep my phone and money in.
I soon then heard the doorbell ring, so I quickly went to go get it. Jeongin greeted me with a big smile plastered across his face.
"You ready?" He asked and I nodded in response.
Jeongin and I went on a subway to get to our destination. After an hour of commuting, we finally arrived.
The elderly residents seem delighted once they saw Jeongin. I looked around the place, and realized that they were doing an annual fundraising event. The residents help make some home items, like DIY coasters and magnets.
"Jinha, come meet my grandma!" Jeongin called me while he embraced her really tight.
"Hello!" I bowed and she fondly stared at me. We had an awkward eye-to-eye contact for a few seconds, until I then decided to break it.
Throughout the whole day, Jeongin and I helped making the items to sell. The residents seem to have had a great time, and so did we.
"Jeongin~ah, you and your girlfriend should go sing us trot like usual!" His grandma requested.
"Yeah, we'll go later!" He looked at me and I suddenly began sweating. "What's wrong?"
"You know that I can't even speak in front of people- especially singing." I trembled in frustration.
"Hey, you can do this. I saw in your list that you want to sing in front of people without having anxiety. Let's do it together, since it's in mine too. Plus, even if you fall on your face, they'd still clap. Elders think that everything's entertaining."
We helped make sugar cookies for a little while, before one of the other helpers told us to get ready for our performance.
"Don't be scared, I'll just be right beside you." Jeongin brushed his fingers through my hair while cooing me.
We got up on stage and the song 'Dazzling Dazzling' by Park Hyunbin started to play. The grandmas and grandpas started to stand up and clap to the music, while Jeongin began singing along to the song.
I had a sudden moment where I froze and began panicking. It felt as if the whole room was trying to suffocate me... but then I felt a hand in mine, and saw Jeongin nodding at me while happily singing.
I held the microphone up against my mouth and just went for it. The elderly were clapping and cheering for me, and soon my nervousness just completely vanished.
Jeongin turned me around in circles, as we sang and danced to trot music. The music stopped and the residents all gave us a big applaud.
"More!" One of the grandpas yelled and everyone else's voice echoed right after, agreeing to his remark.
Another track played, and everyone started singing along with us. Never have I once thought that I could actually ever perform in front of a crowd. Thanks to Jeongin, one of my dreams have been fulfilled.
"Jeongin... thanks for everything." I grasped his arm and led him backstage.
"You don't have to thank me. You've always had it in you, my only job was to help you execute it." He stared into my eyes and I fell deep in thought.
Without knowing what I'm doing, I leaned closer and... but he avoided it.
"I'm sorry." I apologized, feeling a bit embarrassed.
"Wouldn't it be better if I was the one who did it?" Before letting me process his words, his lips were already on mine, making my mind go blank.
