Chapter 7: Stalk

Steven's P. O. V

I'm just standing here watching, as she runs away. Turning around I kicked my car's tyre.

Fuck!

As soon as, I kicked the tire, pain jolted in my leg. Why these things happen to me!

I don't even have a single damn clue about all of this and she was blaming me. I haven't done anything that she just said but someone did call her on the rooftop framing me. I'm gonna find him and beat the hell out of him until he tells me why he did that to her, to me. Shit! I don't know him. Wait, she said, she saw him.

I started walking in the direction where she went. Fuck! My leg hurts. She has seen him at least, from that I can search for him.

I spotted Laura, she has tears in her eyes. I was about to call her but before I can, my eyes landed on someone who was now hugging her. I don't know why but I want to hit him. Laura leaned away from him and mumbled, "He was wearing a green T-shirt and stone-colored jeans I think. He has black hair, brown eyes, he looked younger. I mean maybe younger than us."

"It's okay laura. It's fine, just don't cry. We will find him, okay." He said trying to soothe her while holding her hands.

"Brian, I want to ask you something -" she stops, then looking at Brian she said, "-what are you doing at the rooftop? I mean the gate was closed so how did you manage to find me?"

"I stay close to school. Yesterday, I just got out and heard someone screams. I followed the direction from where the voice gets louder but saw nothing. It was coming from inside the school, so then what, I climbed the gate and get myself inside. You know the next." he said still holding her hands.

Don't know why but something is not fitting. He followed her voice. Bullshit!

"Ohh! Again thank you, Brian." She said removing her hand from his.

"Pizza, burger, or hot chocolate?" He asked, smiling. I want to rip that smile from his face.

"I will never say no to pizza but last night my mom was so angry. I have to get home early. Maybe next time." She said.

"Okay!" He whispered dropping his smile.

"But hot chocolate sounds good." She agreed. I can't believe that trick still work.

Why! you should go home!

By hearing this, his face lightens up. He smiled. "I know a place, they make a great hot chocolate. You will like it."

"Okay! But I have my car so you lead the way. I'll follow you." She said.

Well, at least she is not going in his car. But he dropped her last night! Voice in my head said.

"Okay! follow me," he said.

Laura gets inside her car following brian. They stop and brian get inside his car and she drove off following Brian's car.

I headed towards my car and slipped inside and started following them.

Then I turned and started driving towards my home. After parking my car, I went inside, in the kitchen, and saw my grandma and walked towards her. As she saw me her face brighten up and she smiled. I gave a small peck on her cheek and drew a bottle of water from the fridge
