but you weren't.
" yes, i understand " you said.
but you did not.

i nag you, i know, i know:
but it isn't to annoy you.
it's to let you know i care
if you hurt, eat, sleep, smile or don't.
i care if you want to do this, or that, and where, and with whom.

i nag you because love isn't just letting your lover go off and do whatever they want.
boundaries are a vital part of whatever this is
and i wish you'd respect them.

but when i nag to make sure you're safe it always goes

in one ear
and out the other.
