Shopping And Anxiety

  Three Weeks Later

"I'm not wearing that" one of my best friends simply refused.

"Oh, come on, Chara, don't be like that!" I encouraged. "I think you would look great in this dress!". Chara was the one that I wanted to go shopping with for a Christmas outfit, and just like I guessed, she wasn't to found of the idea.

Chara was like my other twin, not because we acted alike—not at all—in fact, we are very different. It's because of the way we looked. She and I both have brown short hair and hair cuts that are only a slightly different, especially when we were younger. The differences are that we have different shades of brown hair; her's is much lighter than mine, almost to the point where it is red, her skin is biologically much lighter than mine, and she has soft rosy cheeks, my skin is biologically much darker and yellow, her eyes are wide open and scarlet and my eyes are squinted and the color of her hair, we both have sweaters that are striped; mine has two strips and she has only one light yellow strip on a bright green background, we both wore shorts that are the same length and brown boots, her shorts were the color of her hair and her boots were also the same, my shorts were one hue darker than my sweater and my boots were also the same color as my hair (A\N: Your welcome for the unnecessary descriptions I did, just like in the last chapter).

The dress I showed her I thought looked cool. It was scarlet and had a sleeve that wrapped around the right arm twice and was a plain, skinny long sleeve on the left arm. The rim of the chest area is gold and swirls around to make—much to Chara's disliking—a boob window. The back of the dress dropped down to show the whole top of the back and showed a little bit of the waist. The skirt part of the dress was very short but wide and had little jingling bells at the rim of the end. A somewhat strange looking dress for a Christmas outfit but it looked nice nonetheless.

"If your plan is to go there and prostitute yourself as a Christmas gift to Sans, go ahead but, I'm not going to show up there looking like a hooker" Chara almost absentmindedly said without an ounce of regret. As soon as her words left her mouth, I started feeling my cheeks and ears heat up. I suddenly deeply regretted blurting out how I felt about Sans to Chara on the drive here. I did not even think she was listening to me, she did not look at me once or make any indication she was. Apparently, I was wrong.

"Chara it is, i-it's...it is not like that!!" I embarrassingly responded back.

"Oh, really?" Chara teased raising her left eyebrow. "That sure isn't what I gathered up on the ride here".

"Wha-?-no, no, no, I mean-" I shook my head, embarrassed. "Chara, this dress doesn't resemble a hooker's in any way".

"Well it's showing to much skin for my liking"

I sighed and finally gave in. "Fine then, how much skin is your outfit allowed to show?". Chara took one step backward to give me a better view of her and motioned her hands across her outfit. "Charaaaa! Fine, fine then! Let me just uh-" I hastily swished my head from one aisle to the other examining the hanging clothes until I found what I was looking for. A short, green trench coat with bells for buttons and pockets on each side. "Would wearing this make you more comfortable?"

Chara stared at the coat intently for a few seconds before looking back at me. "Mm, maybe" she finally and simply responded.

I grinned. "Yay! Now, go change to make sure you like it!" I demanded gleefully while pushing her in the dressing room with the dress and the trench coat.

The result when she came out was quite surprising. I excepted the combination to look good but not this good! Maybe it looked good just because Chara was wearing it, I bet she could make anything look good!
