“Where's your money?” One said while putting a knife to Cas' neck. Cas was shocked and scared and didn't know exactly how to react to the demand of the man that smelled of sewer and alcohol. The man pushed the knife farther into his neck to the point where blood was drawn. At this point Cas was reaching in all his pockets and pulling out coins and a couple of dollar bills and dropped them to the ground. He gulped,

“T-t-this i-is -al-all I-I h-have,” he said, with tears welling up in his eyes.

The man laughed then started pulling at Cas' clothes and touching him. Cas' eyes widened in horror as he fought his hardest, but the man was too strong, this wasn't supposed to happen! He was supposed to go home and shower and sleep not this! The man eventually got most of Cas' clothes off except his boxers. He was laughing the whole time; the others and the walls of the ally were echoing his laughs.

“HEY!” a familiar voice came screaming and ran into the alley. The men scattered and as the man with the knife went to run, he stabbed Cas in the gut then took off running with the rest of them. Before Cas could fall to the ground he was caught by the man he saw earlier, Dean. He smiled then tried to say “Thank you,” but was silenced by Dean telling him to shush as gentle as he could and he called 911. He pushed his hand againstCas' stomach to keep him from bleeding out.

“T-thanks.” Cas managed to get out.

Dean took his green jacket off and placed it on Cas to help him feel more secure, even though he knew it probably didn't help with anything but keeping him warm. Cas could hear him swearing under his breath.

“I will fucking kill them!” he said with a deep hatred in his voice.

Cas grabbed his arm and looked at him then said,

“H-hey, i-it's-s o-kay.” He, stuttered, coughing up blood.

Dean looked at him full of rage.

“What do you mean 'it's okay'! What the hell?! You should be just as angry as me and-” He was cut off by a weak kiss that lasted only as second. It caught both of them off guard but before either one could say anything, the ambulance drove up along with the police. Dean watched as they took Cas to the hospital then found himself following the ambulance. He didn't exactly what he was doing, especially since he didn't even know the guy very well.

They reached the hospital and Dean answered the questions the cops had for him, but all he could think was “Is he okay?” He wanted to see him badly. When the doctor came out Dean rush up to her and asked about Cas.

“Well he definitely isn't well but he will live, though he’ll need some counseling to help with the issues that will come with recovery. He's been through Hell and back.” She said as kind as she could.

“Can I see him?” Dean asked.

“Yes, he might be awake but I'm not sure.”

Dean practically ran to his room, anxiety filling his veins. When he saw Cas sleeping on the bed, his nerves began to relax. He was asleep and had all kinds of wires hooked up to him. He could see the slow rise and fall of Cas' chest and with every breath,Dean could feel himself move closer and closer until he was right beside the bed. He looked Cas up and down, taking in the damage. He could see the bandages were fresh but old enough to tell it's been an hour or so and the bruises that covered his arms and face.

As he sat down next to the bed, Cas woke up. He started squirming around and his eyes were filled with fear.Dean quickly, but gently, grabbed a hold of his arm to calm him down. Cas flinched taking his hand to his chest. He started wheezing and tried to calm himself down. Dean quickly grabbed the inhaler that was sitting on the bedside table and handed it to him.

AfterCas used it, he looked down at his lap and started to fidget with his hands and the inhaler. He was trying to remember what happened and why. All he could do was blame himself. Before he could get even more lost in his thoughts, he heard a low cough and looked to his right to see his savior sitting by his side, staring at him.

“So, Uhh are you okay? I mean how do you feel? Oh I mean- Goshdangit- I'm sorry. I don't know how these situations are supposed to be handled.” Dean said, sympathy taking place of the sweetness that was in his voice before.

Cas stared at him. He understood what Dean meant but couldn't wrap his head around why he was even there. He then remembered the kiss. His face turned pink and he went back to messing with his hands. Dean couldn't tell if it was what he said or what, it confused him. A smile creeped onto Cas' lips as he looked back at Dean.

“I understand what you mean. I'mfine, I guess. I'm not exactly sure on how I'msupposed to feel, really.”

Dean felt a little relieved when he heard that. He reached his hand over to Cas', to steady them. They felt cold and soft.

“Dean-”

The door flew open. Creating a deafening echo that stopped Cas' voice in its tracks. His face grew pale. Dean knew that reaction from before; it meant Sebastian was there.
