He continued to move toward Gabriel, no matter how he felt. He wasn't going to let him get anymore hurt.
Once he reached him he could see that Gabriel was breathing. He shook him to wake him up, his face was swelling and his cheek had a gash on it.
“Gabriel” Cas wheezed and slurred as he shook him.
“Hhrrmmmm, Cas?” He rolled over and started to gain focus.
“Wehh needdaa gettt owwtttaaaheree.” Cas struggled to say
Gabriel sat up and grabbed Cas. He looked for the closest place to the ground. Once he spotted a place, he shook Cas.
“Hey, get up. Dude, you're bleeding.” He rolled Cas onto his back, showing the stain of blood on his stomach. Cas wasn't responding and it worried Gabriel but he knew they first thing he needed to do was get off the ice. He dragged Cas off the ice and pulled out his phone.
“Hello?”
“Hey can you come to the park as fast as you can, we need help.”
“On my way.”
“Thank you, Sam.”
A few minutes passed by and a black impala stopped and two boys got out and ran towards Gabriel and Cas.
“Are you two okay?” Dean asked voice full of concern.
He knelt down next to Cas and felt his pulse then shook him.
“We need to get you two into the car.” Dean and Sam helped them into the vehicle.
Sam sat in the back with Gabriel and tended to his wounds and Cas sat in the front, passed out next to Dean. When they reached Dean's house, he helped them out of the car and onto the couch.
“What happened?” He asked
Gabriel told his part of the story of how Cas was sitting on the swing and then his brother, Lucifer, came and tried to drug him because he didn't want to go home then he fought with Lucifer then got hit and next thing he knew Cas was trying to wake him up and Cas was full of blood and sounded like he was drugged and then he passed out and that Lucifer was gone but he assumed he fell through the hole in the ice under the bridge.
“Why didn't you throw that drug when it hit the floor?” Dean said his voices getting angrier and angrier by the second.
“Hey, Dean call Bobby and let me talk to Gabriel.” Sam said
Dean looked back at Cas and Gabriel then sighed and walked into the kitchen to make the call.
A few minutes passed then Dean walked in and sat by Cas.
“I shouldn't have let you go outside.” He mumbled while caressing Cas' hair then feeling to see if he had a fever.
He bandaged Cas up then put a cold cloth on his head. He noticed that he was wheezing again.
“Sam go get your nebulizer.”
He started a treatment on Cas. An hour passed and Cas began to awaken and sat up then started to have a coughing fit.
“Hey, hey, calm down. How are you feeling?” Dean asked as he sat by Cas patting his back.
Once Cas realized it was Dean, a wave of emotions flew through him. He turned to face Dean then grabbed him and pulled him close and cried in his chest. All Dean could do was hold him and let him cry it out.
Once Cas regained himself, Dean asked him again,
“How are you feeling?”
Cas kept quiet. He didn't know exactly how he felt; he felt raw, sad, scared, angry, abandoned, grateful, helpless, and hurt. There wasn't anyway he was going to spill all of that out to Dean, he just wasn't ready. Cas looked down at his knees, still trying to fight back tears and the memory from tonight but the memories flooded in and grew; even memories from the alley way after the first time he met Dean. He rose his hands to his face to cover the humiliation he felt.
