Dean straightened himself awkwardly then cleared his throat,

“Well, uhhrrmm, this is Cas and he is just staying the night. What are you doing up, anyways?”

Cas, flushed faced, shifted awkwardly trying not to look like he just kissed this kid's older brother. Sam could tell something happened and wasn't going to put up with this nonsense.

“Is he another one of 'those' guys from your group, and I couldn't sleep because SOMEONE here keeps making to much noise.” Sam said as he walked over and gently pushed Cas while mumbling excuse me to get a cup from the cabinet.

As soon as Cas heard what Sam said he sparked an interest in who 'those guys' were. He looked up at Dean with a confused look.

“No, he's not one of 'those' guys. He's just a friend and he needed a place to stay.” Dean said as he ran his hand through his hair.

'Friend? I needed a place to stay? What?' Cas looked at Dean, who looked away. He was filled with hurt. 'Why didn't I know this from the start? I knew this was a mistake.' Cas thought.

“Umm, I think I should go. Thank you for everything but I just remembered were I put my house key.” Cas said as he started to head toward the door.

Dean looked at him with shock.

“Cas, wait. It's a little late don't you think? You don't even have a car.” Dean stated trying to keep Cas from leaving.

“It's okay, I can walk. The dark doesn't bother me.” Cas lied, he was actually terrified about being alone in the dark.

“Hey, Dean's right. You really should just stay at least the next 4 or 5 hours with us, well at least till the sun comes up.” Sam said.

“It's really okay if you do.” Dean said as he walked up behind Cas.

Cas turned around to see Sam and Dean staring at him, this made him uncomfortable.

“I'm going to decline that invitation, thank you so much though. Have a good night both of you.” Cas opened the door and took a step out into the dark.

One of the street lights were off which gave the street an eerie feeling to Cas. The air was cold. It made Cas tense up, which hurt his stomach. He started walking to the end of the street. He looked around and nothing looked familiar.

“Damn.” He whispered and cradled his stomach.

The pressure helped the pain a little. He could feel the warmth it was radiating. As he began walking onto another road he saw a car that looked very familiar. It was a green 2005 mustang with white stripes through the top and black flames on the sides. It belonged to one of the crack heads his mother hung out with. His name was Gary, he was a tall man. He had tattoos all over his muscular arms and neck. Cas had a run in with him before and was afraid to see him again. Gary was on crack and thought he could rule the world and when he was convinced Cas has some more crack, when he claimed he was out, he beat the crap out of him and left him scared on the right side where his ribs are, where he slammed a piece of a plate he broke in his tantrum.

Cas ran as fast as his legs would let him go until he reached a spot behind a house where when people drive by they wouldn't be able to see him. As soon as the coast was clear, Cas walked back to where there was light. His heart was thumping so hard and he could feel his blood rushing all over his body. He began wondering if he made the right decision by leaving.

“Maybe I should have stayed.” He said to himself as he continued to the next street.

“No, I over stepped my boundaries. Dean doesn't want me. I should have known this is what was going to happen, 'friends', yeah.” He felt his cheeks redden and tears threatening to poor. It was like trying to hold back the waves the ocean constantly pushed to the surface. He looked around to find a park. He walked around it and found a pair of rusted old swings. He got close to them and sat down. The chains sat close to his hip, giving a stinging feeling. He sat there and let the tears fall. His palms held his face as he wept.

The sound of leaves being crushed by someones foot came from behind Cas as he swung. He quickly got off the swing and spun around. His eyes met with a pair of familiar blue ones, Lucifer.

“What do you want?” Cas muttered

“What? You don't seem really glad to see me? Ohh, Cassy.” He replied with a smirk

“Don't call me that.”

“But Cassy, I came all the way here to help get you home.”

“Maybe I don't want to go home.”

“What do you mean? You have to go home, mother wants you home now. She doesn't like you being out for so long.”

“I'm not going back. I would rather live under that bridge.” Cas said as he pointed to the frozen over bridge.

“Looks like I'm going to have to force you.” Lucifer reached into his pocket and pulled out a syringe that held a cream-like liquid substance.

“Don't get near me with that thing! Who knows what that will do to me or how I will react to it.” Cas started backing up trying to get as far away as possible from Lucifer.

“Never know till we try, right... Cassy?” He started gaining distance on Cas.

Cas turned and started running towards the bridge. Once he reached the bridge, Lucifer was right behind him. He started to pat his pockets searching for his inhaler because he was starting to wheeze. He started panicking once he realized it wasn't in his pocket and the rate at which Lucifer was chasing him. He had no idea what was going to happen to him if he let Lucifer inject whatever was in that syringe.

With every step they took the bridge creaked and icicles would shatter on the frozen water under the bridge. Cas looked around to see if someone or thing could help him before Lucifer got him. As Lucifer was in arm distance, someone called out to Cas. A familiar face appeared out from under the bridge.

“GABRIEL!” Cas yelled

“Jump!” Gabriel ordered

Cas with no hesitation, slipped under the railing and landed on Gabriel, Lucifer followed right after. Gabriel pushed Cas out of the way causing him to slide across the ice. Gabriel landed a front kick onto Lucifer's stomach. He returned with a punch to Gabriel's cheek causing him to fall back on to the ice.

As Cas tried to gain enough balance to help Gabriel, he would continue to fall and watch as his friend fought for him against his older brother.

Once he was able to stand and move, he made his way over to the fight. The two boys were now fighting on the ground. Cas heard the syringe fall to the ice as they fell but neither one of them noticed. Cas made his way over to it and tried to step on it to break it but it caused him to fall back. He crawled over to it and when he was just about to reach it, his ankle was pulled back.

“You pathetic Cassy. Having your friend fight your battles. Pathetic.” He spat on Cas' face and grabbed the syringe then turned back to Cas.

Cas looked back to see Gabriel not moving, his eyes widened with fear. When he turned back to Lucifer, just as he stuck him in the arm. Cas grabbed the syringe and pulled it out as fast as he could then stabbed the ground to crack the ice. The sound of cracking started then cracks formed under Lucifer and Cas.

Lucifer took one careless step and fell through the ice. Cas slowly crawled towards Gabriel. His vision started to smear and blur. He felt hazy and light headed but he knew he needed to get to Gabriel.
