Chapter 21 "Questions & Answers"

\Ross's POV/

I didn't want to believe it. But, it was too hard not to believe it.

I went to Riker and Selena with my fake laugh, because for real, I couldn't laugh for real because I was too afriad to see what they'd be like when I come around.

"Hey guys, what's with the smiling and hugging?" I asked trying not to seem suspicious.

"Oh, um...nothing really," Selena said but I knew she might've been lieing. Riker coughed and scratched the back of his neck, "Yeah. Just chilling," he said smiling. I shook my head but I kept a smile, "Oh okay!" I said and walked away from them. I went to Rydel,

"Rydel, I think...I think Riker and Selena are dating behind my back," I said. She laughed,

"Ross! That's ridiculous! They wouldn't do that. Riker told me that he found out you two were dating and I'm sure Selena wouldn't cheat." I sighed pathetically. Soon enough, it was dinner time and we sat around the tv and watched Vampire Diaries and Modern Family. Afterwards we went to our rooms and I changed into my pajama pants and no shirt on.

I walked out into the living room to grab my phone (yes, I left it in the living room on the table. I am stupid sometimes..) and then I saw Riker on the couch.

"Hey Ross," he said and I nodded up at him,

"Sup?"

"Um..What's your favorite color?" he asked me. I furrowed my eyebrows at him,

"Yellow??" I said in a questioning tone. He nodded and then stood up, "Oh! Also, what is your favorite music?" I shrugged, "Rock. Pop," I answered.

He nodded and put a hand on my shoulder. "Cool! Thanks bro!" he said and left. I was confused as hell and left into Ryland and I's room. Ryland was laying on his bed and I laid on mine, "Hey Ry, do you think Selena would cheat on me? Perhaps with Rik.." I asked until his eyes went wide and yelled,

"Um, no! Uh, yeah no," he said with a nervous smile. I narrowed my eyes, "Ryland, do you know something?" and he shook his head, "No. um... goodnight!" he said and hid under his blanket and turned the lights off. I rolled my eyes, shaking my head and went under the blankets. But really, I couldn't sleep. I couldn't think of anything but if Selena was cheating on me...

\Selena's POV/

I was relaxing with Rydel in her room before bed and we were just giggling and talking, everything we always do. Suddenly, Riker walked in smiling.

"Sel, I got the.." he said until I jumped up smiling,

"You got the...stuff?" I asked trying to be careful since Rydel was in the room. I did not wanna ruin the surprise for Ross that was had planned. We are planning this surprise party for him... Recently, Ross has helped Riker get used to the family and everything since the accident and he deserves a reward for it.

"Yeah, Ross is gonna flip out when he comes to this party for him," he said smiling. I nodded in agreement. Rydel raised an eyebrow, "What party?" I looked at her, "Well, ya know how Ross has been helping Riker get his memory back?" she nodded and I continued,

"Well, We want to throw a party! But, we needed to know stuff he liked," I smiled. She smiled back, "Aw, that's sweet!" I looked at the clock and saw it's late so Riker left the room and we all headed to sleep. We got a big day tomorrow.

\Ross's POV/

The next morning, I was asked to get out of the house for a while by my own girlfriend. Now, I am getting very curious. Why would she want me out of the house? So, her and Riker can be alone together without me seeing what they're up to? Wait, but my mom and everyone else is home. Does everyone know besides me? I went to the beach so I could clear my mind on things but, it didn't really work. I couldn't help but keep thinking about Selena and Riker. This is eating away at me too much! I have to go back home and see what's up.

\Riker's POV/

I walked into the living room holding some bags and set it on the table. Rocky was putting up some streamers and Selena was baking a cake with my mom. I sat down on the couch next to Rydel and I sighed,

"Is there anything else about this family that I don't know?"

"Nope. You got everything. I'll let you know if I come up with anything."

I smiled and went into the kitchen and a cake was being frosted,

"DONE!" Selena yelled and I looked at the cake and smirked, "Yellow. Nice," I said and high fived her. I hugged my mom and went into the living room setting out some drinks and food and Rocky has finished up putting up streamers. I heard Ellington run in,

"Party people! Let's do this!" he said with a pair of shades on. I couldn't help but laugh and so did Rydel. Everyone was soon in the living room ready for Ross to come home, until we heard a a jostling of the door handle at the front door. Ryland ran to the door and looked through the peep hole and it was Ross.

Ross walked in and we stood at the door smiling. He stared at us confusingly, "What are you guys doing?" and we shrugged. He walked past us and saw everything,

"HOLY CRAP!" he yelled and we laughed. Ross turned around and looked at us, "What is all this?" and Selena smiled, "oh just for being such a kind brother to Riker through all this confusing short term memory loss!" He smirked and looked at me and he brought me in a hug and I hugged back, "Thanks for all the help little bro!" I said and he nodded, "Thank you guys. Well... Let's party!"

\Ross's POV/

I couldn't believe my family threw me a party...

I drank my soda and chuckled,

"I can't believe I thought you were cheating on me with Riker," I said. Selena looked at me with a shocked face, "Wait, what?" she asked. Riker stood next to her and his eyes went wide, "What?!" he yelled. I shrugged,

"Funny, huh? I thought Riker and you were going behind my back and cheating," I said trying to make everything sound cool. Selena shook her head, "Why would you think I would cheat on you?!" she said and everyone looked at us and the music stopped. Awkward.

"Ross" Riker said to me. "I wouldn't do that to you. I mean, I know what I said but, after you told me about you and her, I wasn't going to go after your girlfriend."

"Yeah and I'm yours, Ross, I wouldn't go after Riker. For god's sakes, that's your brother! Also, well, I love you," Selena said looking at me heartbroken. She stormed out. I feel so stupid now. I ran after her.. I had to make this right again.

But, then I heard a shout come from Riker. I turned and saw him on his knees with his fingers to his head, looking in pain. "Ow! My head!" he yelled and my mom ran to him, "Riker, honey.. what's wrong?" she asked him. Before he could answer, he was on the floor. Dead.
