I pulled into the parking lot and grabbed my books that I had thrown in a large messenger bag and started to go into the school. Luckily I knew where all my classes were since I actually attended orientation last week.
First class was English 101 with Professor Denson. I think this was the professor that actually wasn’t there last week. Hopefully he or she wasn’t a flaky teacher, since I couldn’t tell with the name of Morgan Denson what gender they were. I walked into the classroom and sat down at one of the front desks.
“Well, well, well. If it isn’t Addie Johnson," I heard someone say from behind me. I knew that voice anywhere.
“Hi, to you, too, Darren,” I replied back when I turned around to see him sitting behind me. He still looked just as handsome as I last remembered; his light brown hair was perfectly combed and his brown eyes were still as pure as ever along with his killer smile. He was my first and only boyfriend. I missed Darren, I really did but we were better off not being together.
“Yeah, sorry, I meant hi. So, how, um, how was your summer?” Was he seriously trying to make small talk? We decided when we ended we wouldn’t talk seeing as that would be too hard for us with the way we ended.
“It was alright. Nothing too special, what about yours?” I decided to talk back to him. I really wasn’t up to talking to him, but this was the first time in a year and I wasn’t going to pass that up.
"Pretty good. I've missed you."
Uh-oh. He said words that he knew was going to have an effect on me. I hadn't really spoken to Darren in a year and it was weird hearing those words come from him mouth.
"Yeah, I've missed you, too."
He smiled. "Well, we got to catch up, talk to you later?" I nodded and he headed back towards his desk he had been sitting in.
I was turned back around when someone walked in and closed the door. Everyone got quiet. My mouth opened, not because I got shocked or anything but because this man was HOT! And I’m not saying college frat boy hot, I mean a sex Goddess hot.
He put down a brief case on the desk next to me and started walking towards me, or at least that’s what it seemed like. Yup, he was definitely walking towards me. Gosh, he looked so fucking sexy.
“Close your mouth, sweetie, you’ll catch flies. Oh, and it’s not polite to stare,” he whispered in my ear then started walking away.
I practically choked on my own oxygen at that moment in time.
“Like I said, you’ll choke,” he said this out loud this time and everyone laughed. I felt my face turn bright red and I started to sink into my seat.
The guy, who just embarrassed the crap out of me, hopped up onto a counter that was in the front of the classroom and positioned his self to look at all of us. Who the hell was this guy?
“I’m Professor Denson. And I’ll be teaching you English 101 for your freshman year of college. This will be hard; I will not give you handouts. I will probably be your least favorite teacher or your most favorite, that depends on if you can take a joke or not. This is my first year teaching as college professor so consider yourselves my little guinnea pigs.” He started laughing to himself. Oh, I could tell I wasn’t going to be liking him at all.
Was this guy serious? His little guinnea pig? Um, negative! I was waiting for someone to crack up, specifically Darren, but no, nobody did. I sure as hell wanted to, though.
“I actually want to get know my guinnea pigs, so I’m going to have you introduce yourselves. Oh, and don’t complain. College professors don’t do introductions like this, typically, so I’ll more than likely be the only one. I’ll call your names in the order I have you on my roster, and you will stand up and reintroduce yourself and tell us something things about you and what you’re hoping to major in.”
He grabbed a folded up sheet of paper from the pocket on his black button up shirt and unfolded it and called the first name.
“Darren Alexander,” he said in his sexy voice. I slumped down more and right then Denson looked at me and smiled.
Darren got up and we all turned our backs since he was in the back of the room.
“I’m Darren Alexander. I’m eighteen and still living at home, but that’s okay, ladies because my parents are rarely home, if you catch my drift,” he flashed his smile and some of the girls giggled. I turned to Professor hottie who looked annoyed.
“I’m always up for a good time, oh and I’m majoring in Business.” He did a curtsy and sat down. Darren was no different in college than he was in high school. I guess some guys never matured.
A few more people went on then it was my turn.
“Addie Johnson,” he said and as soon as he did I stood up and looked at him. He smiled and gestured with his hand for me to get on with it.
“I’m Addie Johnson. I’m eighteen. I don’t really like English class or being a guinea pig. And I’m going to be majoring in pre-law.” I said this all flawlessly and never stuttered like I normally would have since I don’t like talking about myself.
He smirked and nodded. And I sat back down.
“Why?”
Was he talking to me? Obviously he was from the apparent look he was giving me.
“Why don’t I like English? Or why don’t I like being a guinea pig?”
He laughed again at me. I mean his laugh was incredibly sexy but he just did it way too much at my expense.
“No, Miss Johnson, why do you want to major in pre-law?”
Why was he asking me why I want the major I want? He hadn’t asked anyone else this question.
“Because I want to become a judge,” I said a second after I realized I still hadn’t answered him.
“Why?”
“You ask a lot of questions. I’m the student, shouldn’t I be asking you the questions, teach?” This got some people to let out a little laugh.
He smiled and raised his eyebrow. “Well you can ask me any question you want after you answer mine.”
“Because, I want to make sure justice is served,” he looked at me with his green eyes and he looked hesitant. He just stared for a moment then said I could sit down.
“Don’t I get to ask you a question now?”
“Well, that’s only fair, what’s your question?”
“Why are you such a nosey dick?”
