There was a party organised by the Mayor of London, and both the Krays and Astors were invited, which was the opportunity to spy on the opposition.
Kaewas sipping at from her champagne flute, perched sexily on a barstool, theskirt of her golden dress falling like waterfall from the slit, revealingshapely thighs. She was eye-catching, though many didn't dare to stare directlyas her bodyguards stood by. Her father and brother were mingling with thepoliticians which she hated, they all had such lascivious looks it made hersick. Besides she was looking out for the Krays. She has heard about them, heard about the inevitable gang wars that might befall them should the Kraysnot pay heed and expand westwards.
Her father was worried, recently he hadspent more time in Monte Carlo and his brand new casino there, wanting to golegit instead of depending solely on illegal deals, leaving the running of thebusiness in London to her brother, who was a darling but not a hunter and notbloodthirsty enough. Kae had no appetite for a gang war either, lots of death,no conclusion, constant going on alert to avoid getting killed. So she wanted to see for herself about theKrays.
There was a commotion and then the Krays walked in. She glanced up tothe top of the stairs where Reggie walked in, his overcoat draped over hisshoulders, and studied the room like his personal kingdom. Behind was Ronnie, shifty-eyed bespectacled Ronnie with the slight overbite. Reggie was utterly gorgeous, his chiselled jawline, straight sharp nose and deep-set eyes. The Krays looked well-groomed, despite Kae's misgivings about the Eastenders. The brothers clean up well. Reggie looked over the room, and stopped right at Kaelyn. She smiled and raised her glass.
Reggie found himself smiling back. Damn, that girl was breathtakingly beautiful. Ronnie nudged Reggie and whispered something in his ear, they both looked over in the direction of Freddie King and Erwin. Kaelyn frowned. She hoped Reggie would walk her way first, it didn't make sense for them to confront her father and brother yet.
Kaelyn uncrossed and crossed her shapely limbs as Reggie walked down, his eyes on her and never leaving her. She took another sip of her champagne and watched him back. He walked straight to her, despite Ronnie's grunt of protest.
Reg: Reggie Kray here.
Kae: (smiling enigmatically) I know. And that must be Ronnie.
Ron: (not looking directly at her) Hello.
Kae: Hello. I'm Kaelyn.....Kaelyn Astor.
She said her surname clearly, and watched as Reggie raised his eyebrows and Ronnie finally looked at her.
Reg: Astor?
Kae: Yes.
Reg: Ees Freddie King's daughter?
Kae: Indeed.
Reg: Me pleasure to meet you then.
Kae smiled through his Cockney accent.
Kae: Yes mine too. I have heard so much about you and your brother. The up and coming of the East End.
Reg: We do alright.
Ron: We do more than alright. We fuckin kill.
Kae: Not literally I hope.
Ron: Bloody posh bird, Reggie I goin' get meself a drink.
Reg: Stay out of trouble.
Ron: yeah yeah.
Reggie turned to Kaelyn.
Reg: Sorry about that.
Kae: It's ok. I can't help my surname and my accent.
Reg: I love the accent. Very....sexy.
Kae: (seductive smile) I kind of like the Cockney as well.
Reg: Ees kidding. We sound like fuckin railroaders.
Kae: (touching his arm and smiling) Well sounds original and grounded. My posh accent is fuckin fake as hell but I don't know how else to talk.
Reggiegrinned at her swearing. This girl is gold. She look like a goddess in thatdress showing all that leg. They talked for a bit more before Ronnie beckonedReggie over to meet the men in the Astor's family.
Reggie said hi, studied hisopponent for a bit, but found himself looking out for Kaelyn instead all night. She was a social butterfly, flitting from one group to another. Reggietensed up when he saw her talking closely to a tall blond hunk who lookedSwedish, and then placing her hand on his chest as she smiled and looked up athim.
Ron: You list'ning Reg?
Reg: What?
Ron: I said the old man Freddie is giving us looks, they want a war.
Reg: I'm sure they don't, we are not ready for the west yet, we still need to look at what we can get out of it. No point burning up perfectly good grass just to get to the cows.
Ron: Bah...you're just soft cos your dick is hard for that heiress.
Reg: Shut up Ron.
Reg looked back to where Kaelyn was but she was no longer there. He looked around and then saw her at the bar. He went over.
Reg: Can I get you a drink?
Kae: It's free-flow Reggie. You just order and get it for free.
Reg: Aww damn, I was hoping to be able to buy you a drink.
Kae: Perhaps, another time? (throws out the bait)
Reg: It's a date then. (hook line and sinker) How do I reach you?
Kae: I'm sure you have your ways.
She took her flute of champagne and went off, smiling.
