Kaelyn had been gone three days and Reggie misses her intensely. She was his pillar and he needed her. He has never been away from her for so long before and he was feeling a part of him was missing. So he decided to fly to Monte Carlo to surprise her, after depositing Ronnie on a trip to the Algarve with his parents and Teddy, with firm instructions to Teddy to make sure Ronnie takes his meds, and if not to get his mum to do it.
Reggie arrived at the hotel owned by Freddie King, he had been there a couple of times but never failed to be impressed by the grandeur of it. One day he would own fancy hotels like this too, and his Ma can have hot sunny holidays all year-round. The staff informed him that the Astors were having tea with the Swedish royal family in the gardens, and he made his way there. He spotted them, and stopped a distance away, watching them.
Kaelyn was walking along the gardens with a tall, blond, hunky gentleman, chatting and laughing. Reggie felt a painful grip in his heart. She looked so beautiful in her spring dress, happy and carefree, with someone else other than him. And he wanted so much to walk up to them and shove that blond hunk aside. Instead, he calmed himself down, this must be the Swedish Royal Family, he will not embarrass them like Ronnie would. So he walked up to them, glad he had put on a decent white shirt so he looks quite dapper too.
Kaelyn spotted him and gasped.
K: Reggie!?
Reg: (grinning) Hi baby.
Kaelyn ran up to him, much to his joy, and relief. He had been worried she would be upset to see him. She reached him and he lifted her up for a full body hug, glad that everything is ok. He kissed her lips and let her down again.
K: What are you doing here?
R: I missed you too much. (kisses her again)
She pulled him to blond hunk and introduced him.
K: Joel, this is Reggie. Reg, this is His Royal Highness Prince Charles Joel Nordström Kinnaman.
Joel: It's a mouthful so you can call me Joel.
Reggie wasn't sure what the protocol was for meeting royalty, so he extended his hand in a handshake.
Joel smiled and shook his hand awkwardly, as Kaelyn laughed, so Reggie knew he made some sort of royal faux pas.

Kaelyn slipped her arm around Reggie, Reggie didn't fail to notice Joel narrowing his eyes at the contact.
K: Come, let go meet the family.
Reggie felt very welcomed by her family, Freddie gave him a big pat on the back as Catherine kissed his cheeks. Even Erwin shook his hand. But after the warm welcome, Reggie could tell he was the odd one out. Everyone seems to be so familiar with each other they were talking all at the same time, and even though Kaelyn had her hand in Reggie's, her attention was still on Joel and they were speaking about something in France and exchanging French anecdotes.
