The next morning Isaac arrived early at Alex's house to beg her forgiveness. He swallowed hard when Elizabeth opened the door. They shared a moment when their eyes met but composed themselves quickly.

"Alex!" Elizabeth called and stepped aside to let Isaac in.

Alex's eyes widened when she lay eyes on Isaac. She walked past him and he followed her outside.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah"

"You don't seem like yourself lately"

Isaac looked down ashamed

"I'm so sorry, I lost track of time"

He thought for a while "I just-" his phone vibrated and he checked the message. "Jacob wants to have a party tomorrow night"

Alex bit her lips.

"We don't have to go if you don't want to"

She shook her head.

"I'll go" she said. She sighed and pushed her hair back. She looked so darn pretty. He put his arm around her waist then leaned in and kissed her.

"I am going to cook dinner tonight. Be there at seven" he pleaded "Let me make it up to you"

A smile tugged at the corners of her lips. She nodded and he left. She was pleased to see him going to his father's house.

His phone vibrated when he got home and saw a picture of himself passed out in his briefs. He called the number.

"Olivia" he guessed and she laughed "I love that picture. I can see your abs, every single one of them"

"How did you even get my number?"

"While you were sleeping"

"I have a girlfriend" Isaac let out.

"Oh, I know" she replied "But one way or another I always get what I want without trying too hard"

Isaac deleted the picture and shook his head. He cooked spaghetti boglonaise carefully following packet instructions. His father was always the cook after his mother left so it was time he learned to do things himself. The kitchen ended in a mess. Sauce splattered around the hob and dropped on the floor. Before he could attempt to clean there was a knock on the door. He glanced up at the clock mounted against the wall wondering how time flew so fast. He looked down at his sauce splattered t-shirt deciding to take it off but then left it on and opened the door.

Alex was flawless as usual in a black jeans and black t-shirt.

"Smells lovely" she commented then gasped when she saw the kitchen "oh"

Isaac scratched his head then snorted. They burst out in laughs. She held an open hand to him "dish towel" she said.

She helped him clean and he dashed to the bedroom to change his shirt

"Where are you going?"

He pointed at his shirt

"Oh" she let out "I didn't even notice"

Isaac paused in his room then glanced at the mirror. It was so hard not to notice the stains. He smiled at himself.

When he emerged Alex had set the table. The same table he and his father had an unforgettable meal that caused him a few bruises but that night it looked different, romantic even.

"Oh" Isaac let out. He went to the fridge and pulled out a flask with thick red juice which he set down in front of her.

The food was delicious despite the messy kitchen but the best was the juice he made for her with just the right amount of blood and cranberry juice. Even though they were hybrids, their first making was still the strongest attributes of them.

After dinner they watched tv. A show he paid no attention to.

Isaac stared at her amazed as her eyes blinked. She was so perfect and beautiful and she looked nothing like Elizabeth. She glanced at him staring at her and he kept the gaze. Then he leaned in and kissed her ever so gently. She responded without hesitation. She wrapped her arms around his neck and he pulled her on his lap. She rubbed herself against him and he responded.
Then he picked her up and carried them to his room where he sat on the bed. She pulled his t-shirt over his head and they glanced at each other breathing heavy. He was hot for her and she for him, their bodies responding to each other and he wanted her that moment.

"I'll be right back" she let out and he nodded but when she got off him, he made an excuse.

"We better finish the movie" he said and reached for his shirt

She bit her lips and crossed her arms

"Do you still want to?" She lifted her eyebrows.

He nodded and pulled her in his arms

"Alex, you are the best thing in my life, you are smart, sexy and so damn beautiful but we'll know when the time is right, ok. I don't want to mess this up"

She nodded and he found himself biting down on the rest of the truth.

"I love you" she said and he thought for a while before he replied.

"I love you"

It was the honest truth, he loved her and it was breaking him inside to not have the guts to tell her that he was her brother.

He cupped her face and kissed her ever so softly and slowly.

Erastus' eyes widened at the knock on his door. He got up and sighed laying eyes on Lisa Sharman with her luggage in hand.

"Suprise" she let out smiling broadly "Can I come in?"

Erastus stepped aside to let her in.

"What are you doing here?"

She sighed and then shrugged.

"I heard Nick is back."

"And you know he told Isaac otherwise Isaac would not be over there so much. What's the real reason you came back?"

"I came to make amends" she dug her hands in her jean's pockets "and I came for my daughter"

Erastus lifted his eyebrows and nodded once. He knew she would be back just like he always knew she would want to find her daughter. All of the above is only possible now that her husband was dead.

"Where are you staying?"

She shrugged. He sighed and shook his head.

"Dammit. I'll make up the room Isaac stayed in"

Lisa smiled pleased ticking off a list in her mind.
