If I read one more book in which the female MC is weak, a nerd, or completely co-dependent, I'm leaving.

I believe I have said this before, and I will say it again: I swear that most, if not all, Wattpad books fall under the same cliché of guy saves girl.

The description of the book normally goes a little something like, "Kelly Watson is a shy nerd that has been bullied by Mackenzie since birth. Life at home isn't that great for Kelly either. One fateful night, her only friend brings her to a party that's being hosted by the ever so famous bad boy: Cole Smith. Will fate bring them together, or will her clumsiness?"

Do you see what I mean when I say the word cliché?

It always seems to be the female MC that's the weakest. She usually only has one friend, no social life at all, and some type of drama with everyone she knows at school. Her best friend is usually the one that has a life outside of school and is classified as the "wild child" of the two. The female MC's social life is nonexistent. She might have a few social media accounts, but she doesn't really use them, and to top it all off, her family treats her like crap.

The guy MC is the big, bad, brawn guy that almost never has a mom for some reason. His name is something like Cole, Jay, or Caleb. His dad is normally a huge business owner that is always out on trips, meetings, or getting down and dirty with his new secretary. (I swear, it's always the secretary or a random twenty-something year old that just wants "it" and money.) The male MC normally starts off dating the most popular girl in school, even though they've been on and off since, like, third grade. I mean, if you two have been on and off dating for that long, then why are you still together?

The most popular girl is always the bully, unless the MC is the most popular girl. She's normally described as this bleach blond with huge chesticles and the "best group of friends in the entire school". Us readers almost never get an explantion as to why the popular girl is the way she is. "Ms. Ever-So Popular" always has the most basic name anyone could ever think of: Brittany, Rachel, Mackenzie and so on. (sorry if those are anyone's real names!) She starts off dating the bad boy and hating the female MC, then ends up single and hating both of them in the end.
