I've always had a flair for dramatics. For years, theatre has been something fun for me to look forward to. I adore having a chance to be on stage; temporarily becoming someone I'm not; studying who the character is and why they do what they do. Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to dive into heavier characters, as upper classmen and Aurora have gotten all the leads and supporting roles in my Lydia Newts Theatre Career thus far. However, I'm a junior now, so this year, I have a better shot. After classes, I met up with Violet and Alice so we could walk into the meeting together. Mr. and Mrs. Radcliffe greeted us at the door, Mrs. Radcliffe handing out flyers. "Welcome back, ladies!" Mr. Radcliffe said with a smile, "Violet, can you stay a little later to discuss running auditions with us?"

"Sure thing, Mr. Radcliffe," With Belle having graduated, Violet is now the Resident Stage Manager.

"Alice, I am so excited to see your designs for this year," Mrs. Radcliffe added

"I'm excited to get started!" Alice is going to be designing the sets for the plays this year.

"I'm assuming we'll know when auditions are by the end of the meeting?" I asked with a playful smile

"You bet, Meg. I'm really happy you're going to be returning to the stage this year," Mr. Radcliffe answered

"Did you have any doubts that I would?"

I laughed with my teachers before grabbing middle row, center section seats with Alice and Violet. We took a look at the flyers, advertising what was in store for the Drama Club this semester. 'Workshops in Auditioning, Improv, Playwriting, and More! Scene Studies! College Audition Prep for Seniors! Participate in our Fall Production: A Midsummer Night's Dream!' During the Drama Club Banquet last semester, Mr. and Mrs. Radcliffe announced the fall production, and I've been preparing to play Titania ever since.

Hearing the sound of high heels walking down the aisle of the auditorium, I turned around, expecting to see Mrs. Radcliffe, but instead, got sight of Aurora, strutting down the aisle, giggling and playing with her hair while chatting with another girl. To our horror, they sat in front of us.

"Meg, Vi, Alice! It's good to be back, huh? I'm so excited for Midsummer auditions. I'm looking forward to working with you all again," Her blushed cheekbones smiled wide when she greeted us.

"Yeah, me too," I replied, fake smile plastered on.

Aurora tapped the girl next to her on her shoulder, and as she turned around to face us, my gay heart cried a few tears. This was the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. Dark skin with highlight to accentuate her slender nose and high cheeks; long, thick, black hair in a high ponytail; cat eye and eyebrows-- both sharp enough to kill a man—framing her chestnut eyes; and a nose ring—piercings are so hot. "This is my friend, Jasmine. She's new this year and wants to do makeup for our plays," Aurora introduced Jasmine to us all, and I temporarily forgot my own name, "Vi's our Stage Manager, so you definitely should get to know her, as well as the Denis Twyla boys who come by; they should be here soon," Aurora added with a giggle.

Right on cue, we heard Mr. Radcliffe welcome the guys from the boys' school down the road. They used to have their own drama program at Denis Twyla Academy, but funding slowly drained from the arts and went to athletics. Lydia Newts Academy has welcomed DT Boys to come to participate in our arts programs, and in exchange, Denis Twyla offers LNA Girls free tickets to sports games.

I heard the shuffled running of sandals, and turned around to see Kuzco practically sliding down the aisle to join us. "My QUEENS!" He exclaimed, bringing the three of us in for a hug from behind our row.
