Kuzco's Homecoming

After about five minutes of pose after pose, angle after angle, I decided which mirror pic was worthy of my Snap story. My outfit was on point and I was ready to slay this dance. I of course, sent it to everyone in my streaks: Meg, Alice, Vi, Aladdin, and my two newest additions, Jasmine and Li Shang. Ever since we had that Talk with Jasmine, I've been getting to know her better, talking with her more. She's a really nice person, and a great makeup artist. But what truly amazes me is the fact that Li Shang still wants to talk to me. It's been at least a month since the group project ended, and we still talk.

As I grab my things to head out the door and meet my girls, I tap through the responses I got to the Snap. Cute selfies from the gals, a pic of Ariel from Aladdin... but I saved the best for last. Li Shang sent a mirror pic back. He was in his dorm's bathroom, in front of the sink. His long dark hair was still down; he was making a goofy face with his tongue out, and doing a peace sign with his free hand... all while shirtless. I fought every fiber of my being to not screenshot that to save for later. His caption said "Still getting ready lol see you there!"

Oh yes indeed, handsome, you WILL see me there.

Phone, wallet, keys, chapstick, gum: I had all the essentials. As I walked down my dorm hallway, passing by a few other Denis Twyla guys on my way downstairs, I couldn't help but think about what could happen tonight. I still don't know if Li Shang likes men, I pondered, He's sending me all these mixed signals, and it doesn't help that he only flirts with me when he's drunk...

Alice, Vi, and especially Meg, do not know. I'm too busy dealing with all their bullshit to talk to them about it, but even if I did, they'd be on my case, and that goes double for Meg. I love her to death, but that girl acts like she knows what's best for everyone, and makes huge assumptions about people very quickly, when she barely even knows what she wants for herself. The last time I brought up Li Shang to the girls, they looked at me like I had three heads. They couldn't believe I was still pining over him, even though I had every reason to. I tried to play it off like 'Nah we're just friends! I don't even know if he likes men hahaha!' but I doubt they believe that.

I made it to the Lydia Newts gymnasium before the rest of the gang. Why be fashionably late when you can be early and ready to slay? I scrolled through Instagram while I waited, and saw that Ariel and Aladdin were already here, since Ariel had already posted a pic of the two of them in front of Big Clock. Of course, I double tapped it. I got a few Snaps from Alice and Meg... standard fare.

I looked up from my phone to see Merida and Mulan, both looking fantastic, walking toward me. I practically squeaked as I caught up to them, letting them know how great they looked. "This is Mulan's first dance," Merida informed me
