The Last Petal

It was December when I walked in the garden of Persephone
There's a lot of flowers but a rose was left alone
The gloomy winter added to its melancholy
Since its petals are falling inevitably

Thoughts flickered with curiosity
If the end is embracing the uncertainty
It gave anxiety when a snow touched its petal
For a vulnerable like this rose--it's fatal

It was then in April Spring
When my smile reached the universe
For this rose was living in a new verse
Its hope bloomed and became scintillating

Flowers and leaves were dancing in rhythm
And birds became poetic in singing
For that flower, it was the start of a new beginning
Fighting and hoping are the most sublime theme

And then the warmness of summer took place
That was the time when this flower rejected my solace
That rose was about to lose its hope again
Drowning in silence of pain

But it was always something of an enigma
That flower traipsed-- far from phony care and drama
Until this rose found the place of reverie
Where all were lost in a deep poetry

Today is October and I went back in the garden of Persephone
Everyone are listening to the lullaby of Autumn
Different petals are scattered everywhere
Falling leaves are hugging the flowers

Tears suddenly fell from my eyes
This is the first time I saw bliss not cries
That rose have been fighting for too long
And waiting for the last part of the song

I closed my eyes and listen to the sound of the wind
All of its petals are gone--only one is left
But it keeps on writing a chapter
An exquisite book for a flower like her

Time stops when the last petal fall down in the air
Be happy little flower-- demise is here
Everything you did was a test
You passed and will find euphoria--time to take a rest.
