Annabeth P.O.V.

Spending that evening with Percy was great.

It was relaxing and Percy was really funny.

I went to my room, changed, and immediately fell asleep.

The next day I got up early to get ready with my day with Percy.

I changed into a simple dress, ate breakfast, and got out before my parents start asking questions.

Before I left, I put my cloak on and left.

When I got to the beach, Percy was already there staring at the sea.

He didn't notice me yet.

"Hey," I said.

His head snapped back and he stumbled backward.

"Hey, Annabeth. You scared me, " he said.

I giggled.

WAIT!!!

I Annabeth Chase does NOT giggle.

Under any circumstances.

He patted a spot next to him on the sand indicating that I should sit there beside him.

So I did.

"It's beautiful, " I said looking at the sea

"Yeah, it is. It's almost as beautiful as you, "he said blushing a little.

"Thanks but I'm not pretty, " I said now blushing myself.

"You're right. You're not pretty. You're beautiful, "he said looking away at the sea.

I stayed silent. I knew I was blushing beet red.

There was an uncomfortable silence for a while.

Percy must have sensed the awkwardness because he broke the silence.

"I'm sorry it just came over me, "he apologized.

"It's fine, " I told him.

After a while I got hungry.

"Hey, do you want to go to town and get something to eat? " Percy asked me.

He must have been hungry too.

"Yeah sure, " I said.

Then we went off to the market.

When we got to town we saw children playing on the streets, teenagers hanging around the park, and adults working.

"Hey look! A bakery, " Percy screamed like a five-year-old kid.

"What's with you and bakeries? " I said.

"Umm...My mom makes the best blue chocolate cookies, "he said to me as we went inside the bakery.

The smell of freshly made bread filled the room.

"Blue? "I asked.

"Yes, blue Annabeth. Do you have a problem with that? "he asked me dramatically as he grabbed some bread and paid for them.

I laughed.

"No. But why blue? "I asked.

He stopped eating his bread and looked at me.

"Simple. Why not? "he said smirking.

I frowned.

He has won this one but I will win the ones after if its the last thing I do Perseus-.

Wait what is his last name.

"Hey. What is your last name? "I asked.

He choked on his piece of bread and looked at me.

"Umm...it's Jackson, "he said to me uneasily.

"Oh, "I replied.

"What's yours, "he asked me.

"It's...Chase, "I told him.

"Oh, " he replied.

When the sun began to set, I decided to call it a day.

"I'm going to go home, " I told him.

"Yeah, it's getting late. Tomorrow same time? " he asked.

"Yeah, sure, " I told him.

"Bye Percy/Annabeth, "we said at the same time and turned around to leave in different directions.

Jackson. That last name sounds familiar.

Like the royal family name of Atlantis.

No, it can't be.

Percy P.O.V.

When I said goodbye to Annabeth, I couldn't help but think of her last name.

Chase. It sounds so familiar.

Like the royal family name of Athens.

No, it can't be.
