Chapter Twenty Two: Officially.

"Where are we going?" I ask Finn when the movie ends.

"I'm not gonna tell you, silly," he responds, shutting the TV off.

"Wow, that's kinda rude."

"I know right?"

We share a quick laugh before getting off of the couch.

"Can you at least tell me what to wear?" I ask with a giggle. This boy seriously won't tell me anything.

"My sweater looks great on you. Just wear that, it's fine," he says with a smile.

"Hmm, okay. But I'm trusting you with this one, Wolfard!"

"Is that a threat, Danielle?" Finn accuses, cocking up an eyebrow.

"Maybe," I reply, smirking.

Finn takes a step closer to me, and as a joke I take a step backwards.

"Wow I just wanted a hug," he says, pretending to pout.

"Shut up." I roll my eyes, turning away from him to be petty.

I feel Finn's arms wrap around me from behind and I smile. This guy.

"Well, I think we should go now," Finn says suddenly, releasing himself from me and standing up.

I follow behind him and we put our shoes on. I cant help but wonder where we would possibly go. He did mention dinner, but where? I'm not expecting anything crazy fancy; maybe we'll pick up McDonalds or something.

We get into his car and he starts it up, soon backing out of his driveway after. The radio plays some sort of shit Tik Tok song quietly in the background as we drive into town and I slouch deeper into my seat, feeling comfortable.

I glance over at Finn and look at the little details on him. I start looking at his hair; studying each of his unique curls and feeling the urge to play with them. His cuts from Wyatt are looking a lot better. I look at his long eyelashes, and the curve of his nose, his freckles, and soft lips. Oh, to be kissing him right now. I look at his shoulders, and at his strong arms, and smile at his hands on the steering wheel. He is so perfect.

"Staring is rude, Dani," says Finn slyly. My face flushes and I feel frustrated that he caught me. How did he notice?

"Well it's not my fault you're so attractive," I say casually, turning to look out my window. I watch the buildings and trees and cars as we pass them, still dying to know where we're going.

Finn doesn't seem to respond, except for giving me a small half smile and looking at me briefly. I continue to look out the window as the scenery quickly comes in and out of view.

A few minutes seem to pass by, and suddenly I'm unfamiliar with the area we are in. Is this all part of my town? How stupid of me not to know where I am in my own small city. It sure does look pretty though; we seem to be headed into some mountains and the trees start to thicken as we head deeper uphill.

"Are we still in town?" I ask.

"Sort of. Right at the edge of it basically."

"Well where are we going that's at the edge of the city? There can't be much to do there," I sigh, getting tired of asking.

"You'll see," Finn says calmly, with a smile at the curve of his mouth.

"Whatever, I'm done asking," I respond with a small laugh.

"Good. We'll be there in two minutes."

I perk up at these words. Two minutes? We seem to be in the middle of nowhere. I shake my head at myself and think; have I been living here the whole time?
