Young Hyun POV
I slowly opened my eyes, the first rays of sunlight streaming through my window. I rolled over and reached for my phone. Checking the time, I started to sit up. 6:20. I was early. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and headed towards the bathroom. After a quick shower I changed into a grey shirt and jeans. I headed downstairs and into the kitchen. Since I was early, I might as well make breakfast. I fried up a few eggs and started to cook some sausage. Hearing footsteps, I looked towards the stairs to see the sleepy face of my roommate come into view.
"Finally cooking breakfast huh," Jae said, walking into the kitchen.
"Just shut up and help," I replied.
Jae warmed up the leftover rice and scooped it into 5 bowls. He carefully placed an egg on top in each bowl. I finished frying the sausage and distributed them evenly into the bowls. Jae helped me set up the bowls on the table. I sat down and started to eat my breakfast and Jae did the same. Our other roommates probably wouldn't be up for another 15-20 minutes if not longer. I quickly finished my breakfast and washed my dishes. I left the kitchen right as Sungjin came down the stairs.
"You're up early," he said to me.
"And you're up late," I replied back smiling as I climbed back up the stairs. I entered my room and grabbed my bag, checking that my portfolio is inside. A placed my camera inside the bag and also packed an extra SD card. Throwing my bag over my shoulder I left my room, closing the door. I walked downstairs and to the shoe rack by the front door. I grabbed my shoes and quickly put them on. By now Jae had finished his breakfast and was lounging on the couch in the living room. Sungjin was still eating. "I'm going now," I told them, just as the youngest of us, Dowoon, came down the stairs.
I walked to the bus stop and waited for the bus. Once it arrived I got on and rode it to my stop. I got off and checked the time. 6:45. I texted my assistant and told them to not worry about the coffee. I walked to the cafe near the office and ordered two coffees, one with cream and sugar, the other black. After paying for the coffees, I left and entered the office. I placed the coffees on the front desk just as Soojin, my assistant, came out from the back.
"Wow, your early for once," she said in greeting.
"What is that a problem?" I replied, handing her the coffee with cream and sugar. "Any appointments for today?"
"Not yet," Soojin replied. Soojin's a college student, aspiring to become a photographer, currently working for me as my assistant, helping me to run my photography business. She just started a few weeks ago.
"Good. I can show you how to develop photos," I said, heading out of the storefront and into the back.
