4 : Picture Pt. 1

I finally had a day to relax, so I decided to go shopping. I needed to buy a few presents for my friends whose birthdays were coming up. As I was about to leave my room I noticed something I had almost forgot about. The camera my parents gave me before I moved out. They had told me to look through the photos on it, saying that there might be some I liked. Most of them had been pictures of us when I was younger. There were even some of them when they were young.There were a few pictures of various scenery. There were some that I liked, but there had only been one that really caught my eye.

It was a picture of a tree on a hill. The hill was dotted with white and blue wild flowers. Under the tree stood a girl. I couldn't make out who she was. She stood there, her arms at her sides. She looked at something out of the frame. Something that might have been close or far away. The picture was beautiful and serene. I had been wanting to get it developed for a while, but I had never gotten the chance.

I grabbed the camera and put it in my bag. After shopping I would get the picture developed. I checked the time. 8:20. I went downstairs and put my shoes on. I told my roommates Misun & Yoonhyun, who were watching some romance movie, that I was heading out. I left the apartment and walked to the mall. I walked around and visited the shops I was looking for. After finding everything I was looking for, and a few extra items, I ate lunch.

I continued to shop, looking for new clothes. A few hours later, I finished shopping, and checked the time. 5:10. The photography shop I planned to go to was closing in 20 minutes. I left the mall and quickly walked there, as it was close by. I entered the shop and was greeted by a girl with straight black hair, big eyes, and who was wearing a white shirt and a black skirt.

"Hello, how can I help you?" she asked me.

"Oh, I was wondering if I could get a picture developed," I said as I pulled the camera out of my bag, handing it to her.

"Oh of course. One moment please. She walked over to the front counter and did some things on the computer. After a little while she walked over to a door, that probably led to a back area, opened it, and popped her head in. She called out to someone, waiting for them to come. A young man came out from behind the door, following the girl to the counter.

"So, she wanted to develop a photo, but I'm—" the girl started.

"You!" the young man said looking right at me. I looked up and realized who it was. It was the man I had seen at the bench a few days ago.

"Oh.....hello....," I said awkwardly.

"Do you guys.....know each other?" the girl said awkwardly.

"Oh no, I had just run into her a few days ago. Sorry Soojin, what did you need help with?" the man said.

"Well, I wasn't quite sure on how to access this camera's storage," the girl replied. The man picked up and examined the camera. He looked up at me.

"Where did you get this camera?"
